  • seriously whats the point of this video? its deff not to help anyone with the install, as I didn't learn a damn thing from it. I almost got a headache from trying to watch it.

IF you want to help the Subby community with a video atleast make it 2 minutes long, not 2 seconds.

  • i learned not a single thing from this video

  • I hope this isn't meant to help with an install. How about a thorough How-to video?

  • so here's the question I'm sure people are thinking and just not asking. Will this allow me to run a 3" intake turbocharger without doing the TGV DELETE?

  • this took me WAY longer then 30min. it was a battle but i won, at the cost of my car taking some of my blood of course

  • Yeah! I slow one for us average folk!.........Purty pleeeeez?

  • @kjoin001 i agree youtube i think alows a 10 minute clip. do it in 3 segments

  • dudes, question... install this Perrin makes you a big circulation of air and less work to the turbo? right? but the hp increases better if u put a big turbo like VF34, gain more hp... and waht about psi? incease? thx!!

  • @IICEREGIO The inlet hose will not raise your boost (psi). The inlet hose is before the turbo. It produces power for you by decreasing pre-turbo air restrictions. Admittedly putting on a bigger turbo will probably produce more HP then the inlet hose, but the inlet hose and the bigger turbo will produce more HP then the turbo alone.

  • Sweet! Just did mines on my 08 Legacy Spec.B! Great mod! No lag & faster spool!

  • @impreza127 Glad to here you liked the inlet hose.

  • @impreza127 Glad you like it.

  • it's only 3- 8 hp gain depending on mods

  • @suby06 The "depending on the mods" is the big factor. Yes, if the inlet hose is your only modification you will only see a minimal gain. If you already have a modified exhaust and intake system it will make a big difference. It's also a great mod to do with an intake or turbo install.

  • Also they suggest not reinstalling the PCV Diagnostic Connector and then rerouting the hose to the Valve Cover Vent. Why couldnt they just have made one extra spigot like in the original!!?? It does the same thing

First:The OEM hos has a special plastic connector that can't be replicated in silicone. Second: There is no reason to reinstall the connector. The PCV Diagnostic Connector only senses that there is an Inlet hose installed. (the thingy the connector connects to is just a jumper piece of metal.) The same way your seat belt sensor dings if your seat belt is not buckled.

  • Just bought the hose for my 09 wrx. I have to admit for someone who is as slow as I am and doesnt understand some of the terms and tell the difference between some hoses you need to cut and reroute - its not the easiest install. But perrin tech support was quick and helpful to respond. Also, one of the bolts holding the evap/boost solenoid bracket doesn't go back in - so it teeters on one bolt (not a big deal).

  • step by step please

  • took me about an hour or so to do mine, i just used the install guide

  • Love the music :D

  • That wasn't 37mins.... that was 49 seconds..... wow that a fast install

  • it obviously comes with instructions... i think what theyre trying to say is its easy to install... for someone that knows what theyre doing.

a step by step video would be nice though.

  • @allenpelletier That's correct. Customers on forumboards were heckling one of our techs saying that it could not be done. This was our video response. The video was filmed at an uninterrupted pace and using the correct tools for the job. It was not a race though. A trained installer, going for the record, could probably do it in under 30 min.

  • trumpet has PERFECT tone omg. mayb a lil sharp.

p.s. ill be buying ur catback soon perrin, since your prices are ballin.

  • does this come with step by step instructions??? or do we have to refer to this video when installing?? i'd prefer it if you guys could maybe slow this down for the slow people here.

  • man it's so hard to remove the stock inlet, i have to break it in pieces. 37 mins my azz. took forever to break that inlet. and now how am i gonna slide the perrin through intake mani to get to the turbo???

  • hahaha man you guys are funny it should only take a half hour to do it

  • hahaha, love the music, perhaps thats why it only took 30mins ? ? ?, I use a PERRIN intake on my car & i'm very happy with it ! ! !

  • You guys make it look too easy. How about a slower, step by step video?

  • @dcpatters0 Perhaps we will. We are still limited by Youtube so we can't show you the entire installation but perhaps something cut down.
