You should all buy Sandro's "Firebird" CD! It's one of my favourite CDs. On this CD, you would hear this incredible interpretation of 'Firebird', of course; part from that, you would also hear 'the soft and gentle' side of this great pianist playing Ravel's work..... which I found one of the best I've ever heard....so poetic !!!
This IS exciting as up to now we are only really familiar with
Petroushka for piano and needed a pianist to bring this explosive arrangement of the Firebird onto the concert stage as it deserves to be better known. It would make a great competition work. Great performance Sandro, electric, energetic and full of fire!~
I want to thank you. I had read in a textbook for a class that there was an "equally attractive" three movements from "The Firebird" by Agosti. I had somewhat shrugged it off. Thank you for posting a recording of it. I won't forget this work.
4.5? What loons aren't giving this five stars?! Hmpf.

I'm reading through agosti's version at the moment. It is so difficult, not to mention that the majority of it is notated on three sets of staff.

I'm actually revising the arrangement to work on two staves. Same with Ligeti's "Satan Staircase"
