Neil is the man, but how good was his entire band line up back then!!! Great musicians, that were as precise as a Swiss Watch. Especially, Dennis St John on drums and the glorious backup vocals of Linda Press. I saw Linda and Neil sing his classic duo " You Don't Bring Me Flowers " here in Australia, last time he visited. They sounded amazing and note perfect according to these ears.

I remember watching this live on Channel 9 that night here in Sydney. In fact our whole family of 6 huddled around the TV. We only had 4 major network TV stations then and apparently 75% of viewers in Australia, watched his performance that night. I don't think overseas people will ever know how big Neil was and is in Australia. I was 11 years old here and my 3 other brothers and sisters were younger. Yet we all knew the lyrics of the " Hot August Night " songs.

I saw him in 76 and in 78. I as supposed to see him this year in Houston. My town got badly damaged because of Hurricane Ike, so I was in Killeen as a refugee and missed him. He even came to my county the next day to see the damage because we got hit worse then Galveston and were not even mention and FEMA wasn't helping. He did a lot to help the area. He is a great man.
