@SchergeSatans der Schiffsrumpf der Schnellboote ist aus Holz. Das hat mehrere gründe. Zum einen geringeres gewicht zum anderen soll es Radarstrahlung absorbieren. Wenns nicht glaubst musst es nur nachgoogeln. Es gibt nette Bilder von diesem Boot nach dem Unfall. Dort kann man eindeutig den eingedrückten Schiffsrumpf aus HOLZ sehen.

Die Klasse 143 ist aus Stahl, wenn auch nur sehr dünnem Material.

Nur die Minensuchboote, heute Minenjagdboote, Hohlstablenkboote, etc., haben Holzrümpfe wegen der Minen.

Das von ihrem Gerät in sicherer Entfernung erzeugte Magnetfeld soll Minen zur Detonation bringen.

@Jeansschwimmer wie gesagt. es gibt bei google bilder von dem boot nach dem unfall. es sind keine minensuch oder holsstablenkboote sondern schnellboote der klasse albatros oder gepard. mit zersplittertem hölzernen schiffsrumpf. ich zitire auch ungern wikipedia aber auch dort liest man bei der klasse albatros zum thema "planung und bau" das sie sehr wohl aus holz sind.

Der Stahl ist so dünn, dass man jeden Spant von außen sehen konnte, nachdem sie ihren ersten schweren Seegang durchgemacht hatten.

holz ist ideal für schnellboote. eine gute panzerungaus metall währe so schwer dass, das schnellboot kein schnellboot mehr wäre so viel ist klar. leichtmetall ist nicht leichter als holz nur teurer und bringt eine geringfügig bessere panzerung. die zeit der panzerkreuzer aus kruppstahl ist nunmal schon seit 70 jahren vorbei.

außerdem sind zivile speed oder schnellboote aus was? NA AUS HOLZ!

@19919 je kleiner das schiff, desto eher ein verbundmaterial aus kunstharz und kevlar und/oder holz. Mein eigenes kleines boot ist aus diagonal verklebten 1,7mm Funrnieren. Vergiss den Faktor Elastizität nicht!

Soviel ich weiß, bauen die Briten ihre Seerettungskreuzer noch immer aus diagonalen Holzschichten.
