  • I see where Joe Frazier got his style

  • @fillygirl93 yep for sure, well noticed

  • @fillygirl93 see where marciano got his style, but everyone says rocky was a bum and armstrong an all timer

  • barney Ross one of the greatest boxers in history and a American hero

  • I've never heard anyone mention this, and I know that armstrong was not really remembered as a featherweight (since he outgrew the div. early on in his reign at the top), but I would love to see Homicide Hank vs. Salvador Sanchez... pressure vs. beautiful boxing (but Sanchez was like Marvin Hagler, yes he was a boxer and could fight going forwards or backwards, but they weren't the type of "boxer" who refused to dig in and fight when the situation warranted it...

  • @RapedByRepublicans thats a great comment, well usually i wouldn't bet against either of these guys and if i'm thinking right both guys would never have faced anyone like each other, mmm tough 1 but i would give a slight edge to sanchez due to his technical ability but you could never count hank out..

  • this a bwall

  • do you got armstrong vs davis????

  • When you think about it, what a champion. Must be regarded as one if not the best champions there have ever been.

Champion when there was only one title to win..

Champion in three diffrent weigtclasses, when there was only about eight..

Champion in these 3 weightclasses a the same time..

And almost winning the title at middleweight (as many thougt he should have).

And these wins against legends as Lou Ambers, Barney Ross etc.

    Cant compare that to anything.

  • @connymat yeah for sure, there are far too many sanctioning bodies these days, bring it back to win 1 title per division then we'll see who the true champs are, peace bro

  • A Henry Armstrong-Jimmy Mclarnin fight would have been interesting

  • They dont put on a half ass, lazy, dancing with the stars, dont mess up my face, show me the money performance.

  • @bb62g in other words these guys are warriors compared to some of todays drama queens?

  • he was a fucking machine pressuring to his rivals

  • the only man who emulated very well the armstrong´s style is joe frazier

  • yea floyd mayweather is convinced he's the king of the welterweights... pretty sure hammerin' hank would hammer floyd all day, literally.

  • @rediculousnicholas absolutely, henrry would smash floyd, because this man would have been pressuring during all fight

  • Back in those days, they brought heat !!!

  • lol... this fight is way too slow, just brawl each other until anyone who could luckily hit harder could win... :D

  • forgive my ignorance...but why they keep fighting inside? and even at around rd-4, they looked gassed out already. how long were each rds back at that time? where's the tactical lat movements?

  • @Sempertacsil henry armstrong was an out and out pressure fighter & just kept coming after you all night long, boxing wasn't as tactical in these days it was more a case of looking for ko's and entertaining the crowd, where as now the defence is a big part of the game & the boxers don't really care if they entertain as long as they win, thanks for a great question..

  • @28rampage Thnx for the great reply. Before anyone starts to compare the era. Consider this. 1.The refree is almost non existent. 2. The gloves are more brutal. Yes they are. Dont tell me different. The method of measurement and the material are different. 3. 15 rounds. 4. A four punch combo will not get you an easy t.k.o. you have to practically render your opponent unconscious... i.e. griffith vs paret,..williams vs jack....... 5. these guys beat the crap out of each other for rent!!!

  • Nice, I love Henry armstron man. Thanks for the upload

  • @uglybabashouse2 thanks no problem..

  • @uglybabashouse2 FUCKIN HARD AS NAILS ARMSTRONG WAS

LOL IMAGINE WHAT HE'D DO TO FLOYD MAYWEATHER LOL

    FLOYD WOULDNT LAST 3 ROUNDS

  • @johnosandra Yeah Imo floyd is one of the greatest, but against armstrong he would break down. Because the non-stop pressure is just brutal. In my book he's easily in theTop 5 of all time. just a miniature joe frazier.

  • @uglybabashouse2 look closely i think frazier got his hook from armstrong tyson got it from frazier and tua got it from tyson

  • @johnosandra hahaha bet you're right.

  • @johnosandra but that wont work to pacquiao.. the worlds number p4p, that king of boxing will end to rd1 if pacquiao find a better spot to knock anyone of that fighter.. ^^
