  • What a beautiful beast! Do I hear a turbocharger or supercharger, or do I have a vivid imagination? Here's to the men, with big brass ones, that flew them in Korea and Viet Nam and to the aircrew and grunts they helped save.

  • @cbs3153 You heard it correct my friend ;-) Somebody may correct me if I'm wrong but I seriously believe that this Skyraider has a R3350 fitted up front with a two-speed single-stage supercharger.

  • What a beautiful beast.

  • My Father flew one in the Korean War. I grew up in the back seat of an AT-6. I fly as well and so does my brother...I really can appreciate this great little film..Thank You..

  • Just Fantastic. Incredible sound. !!!

  • Was an A-1 able to get back aboard, without arresting gear?

  • I was a yellow shirt on the BonHomme Richard, and the Oriskany during Vietnam. I loved the A1 Skyraider, but with that 14ft. prop spinning at night on the flight deck...they were very scary!..you could not take your eyes off them for a second...that aside, I miss the smell of Skyraiders in the morning...poppa

  • Good soft field landing

  • My dad always talked about this planes, how they really got him and his platoon out of a couple of dicey times while he was in Nam. he said," Just the sound of them rolling in, all shoting from the gooks would suddenly stop."

  • Heavy Iron, Great.

  • Spraying SPADs. Really stable. Phenomenal lift. Sorta like flying a '59 Eldorado with a real leaky crankcase. RG, VA-25, '67.

  • Gotta love this bird!! Very nice video of it too!!
