  • How do you solve this problem: Sometimes when I shoot a video with my T2I it says "Your video has stopped recording automatically" how do I fix this problem or what am I doing wrong?

  • That camera, as well as all DSLR cameras, is only able to record 10-15 minutes of video before the sensor gets too hot and stops recording. You are not doing anything wrong. You have to wait a minute and then hit record again.

  • @DanTheTransitMan Your SD card isn't fast enough for the camera to continuously record. Get a class 10 and do some research as not all class 10 SDHC cards work well in the t2i.

  • Not a 7D....

  • @goredeathrot it's a T2i with a 7d strap lol

  • Wow she's beautiful {:)

  • Best thing to do is hook the camera up to a laptop with the correct software and use the laptop to change settings and the laptop screen is a huge HD live view. After you take the picture you can check straight away what the pic turned out like and then fine tune the settings. The other advantage of doing this is you will learn the setting faster since you can see the effects of the setting changes right afer you take the picture.

  • Amazing

  • I'm focusing to kyla not on the camera!

  • What setting do you use to allow the camera to take pictures continuously?

  • Use the continous shooting mode.

  • @jonvideo TY, I knew that, but for some reason I thought you took your finger off the button, lol.

  • @AnEscapedMind Also in portrait mode if you hold down the shutter after the first photo it will automatically turn to continuous shot mode and is recommended for close up photos because of the lower F setting. Not recommended for sports shooting or action though!

  • plzzz i want to know which lens u use plzzzzzzz contact me as possible as u can

  • @fadyfady928 28-135mm

  • good vid

  • Thanks bro good job

  • Nice

  • what lense are you using

  • what do u have your top dial set on?

  • Before you took the running shots. What were on the left corner. I seen an icon for continuous shot. What were the others? There's also an icon on the left bottom corner. What is that?

  • Thank you this video helped me alot!

  • That is not a 7D Camera like the carring strap you have on it at 303 minutes. Canon 7D takes 8FPS that thing was about4 FPS, what gives......poser

  • Your memory card, image size, post processing functions, raw mode noise reduction and just a few of the settings that may haved slowed the process..

  • great tips. Specially about continual shooting to get the running shot.

  • would this be good for shooting hd videos?

  • yes it would be fine for HD videos.

  • @jonvideo okay awesome

  • What's the dial set to?

  • It is set to the AV mode

  • @Jonvideo: Out of focus. If I had a background It would be plain, but let's say I was in the room and didn't want some objects, I'd prefer to place the subject out of focus. What do you suggest?

  • What lens do you have? Do you want the main subject or the background out of focus?

  • I'm an owner of the T1i, and am also interested in what Sagan has experienced as flaws. @Jonvideo, how did you take those multiple/continuous shots of the girl running? What settings? And also if anyone could tell me their preference for settings with the ISO, F-stop and aperture when shooting outdoors. I am very interested in shooting in door portrait shots. Will I be using a different mode?

  • Continuous shots are done with continuous shooting mode, I used a higher f stop so she would be in focus. My preference is with an iso over 800 for most flexibility. For indoor portrait shots, it depends on what lighting and background you choose to use. Also do you want the background in focus or out of focus?

  • just purchased this camara! this is very helpfull thanx

  • I just purchased this camera and Its my first DSLR. Its overwhelming for me to say the least. THANK YOU for a great video on tips and tricks so i can get great results!!

  • Thanks for the nice letter. Since you are new to the camera and like our style,, you may want to get the videos T2i Made easy DVD set vol one and 2. at our website elitevideo com. Keep in touch.

  • If you want the ISO to change with the Priority, you turn the ISO until it says AUTO, and it will change along with the shutter, meaning you can get a sharper or blurrier depth of field without sacrificing shutter speed as much! You don't really want to go higher than 400 ISO (which you can set this limit under 'Auto ISO Limit' in the menu, but using 100 instead of 400 is so much better for outdoor shots - you also won't have to have those extremely high shutters because the picture will darken

  • Nice tips, Thanks, though I will say to try a 400 iso shot and and 800 iso shot, and you will see little or no difference, so what I am saying is 800 is the new 400 in the ISO world. I bet you used to be a film guy, Am I right?

  • @jonvideo Jon, he's right. At ISO 100, you get better picture quality. But there's no harm in taking one in 100, 400 and 800.

  • Yes, I agree. Also as photographers I suggest taking a picture at different ISOs then printing them out on 8x10 paper. Then mixing them up so you don't know which one is which and try guessing which ones were taken at which ISO, It's not as easy as you may be lead to believe. Try it and see.

  • in what mode u do this?

  • We were in Aperture priority mode.

  • I don''t have a problem with the T1i, If I did, I would bring up an issue, What problems do you have Sagan? The lens was a1 a 28-135mm Canon lens

  • This video isn't a review on the camera geniuses. Fact is people do own this camera and most people would enjoy knowing how to use it. So if you don't like go send an email to Cannon and stop wasting your time whining through some youtube comment.

  • what lens is that

  • That said, these are good tutorials. But I'm agog he doesn't comment on all the problems with the Txi. I guess some people are quickly-accustomed to junk.

The T1i, is driving me back to my Pentax K200D which is also a crappy camera. But I can get better results with it, much of the time. The T1i has too many flaws and nothing great about it.

  • @SaganAppreciationSoc what flaws are you finding?

  • Shooting tip for the Canon T1i: Get rid of the piece of junk as fast as you can! Possibly the most overpriced and flawed camera I've EVER used.

  • @SaganAppreciationSoc

Are you sure it's the camera and not you?

Meaning do you understand everything you need to know about the camera. in-order to get the most out of it.

  • Nice tutorial!

    She is cuteeeeee <3 :D
