I'm curious...what's your stage character? The patter just seemed rude to me (on how you address the spectator,i. e. "I'm not your friend") Anyway, nice work there: it's always a pleasure watch your magic. I do think some work on audience management should be done, though (I find it funny how the guy on your right burn your hands..and pisses the hell out of the people behind him...).
@KiKeNiCo Great question! This performance was at an event that was themed "Risk everything", there were lots of "risky" things for visitors to do, and I was billed as a conman that would demonstrate swindles and how to skew the odds. It was tongue in cheek, obviously, but walked the line so that spectators were not necessarily aware that I was not doing a proper three card monte, for example.
@unmungo That remark was necessary because the spectator asked to see the cards again after I had already laid them down. If you know how this trick works, you know I can't do that. I needed something that was in character and re-established control on my part quickly before the situation degenerated. If you listen to the audience reaction, you'll see that it went over well, nobody felt offended, I think.
I only notice the guy on my right when I looked at the video, and yeah... it's funny!
Well done unmungo
