Loved it. Im a big time Yngwie fan i can say i very much liked this. Smooth, clean u got it. Have a great day and keep playing:) Greetings from Norway.
@identity911 Thanks for stopping by and checking out my video. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'm also a HUGE Yngwie fan and have been for 20+ years. Anyway, thanks for the kind words. Have a great day. Cheers and SHRED ON!!!!
This feels a little stale without the wicked vibrato and trills of malmsteen but this is quite an old video I bet you are much more attentive to detail now.
@metalbloodshed In my opinion Yngwie has the greatest vibrato of anyone, so it would be very difficult for me to achieve that kind of sound. Vibrato for a guitarist or for any string player (violin, etc...) is like a person's fingerprint. It's unique to them and them only. My vibrato changes depending on what style of song I'm playing. Anyway, thanks for watching. Have a great day. Cheers...

@crisDAwog Hey there... I used a USA Yngwie Strat and ran that through my Mesa Boogie Power Amp, Marshall JMP1 Preamp and my Marshall 4x12 cab. I no longer have that amp setup. I currently use Guitar Rig 4 which I much prefer. Anyway, thanks for the comment and I apologize for the late response. Have a great day. Cheers...
@NeoClassicalFan nice i how doo power amps and preamps work there solid state ha? i much prefer all tube head and cab like a mesa dual rec or amarshall jcm 2000 but yea nice tone again
@crisDAwog My Mesa Boogie power amp and Marshall Preamp that I use to have were both tube amps. They got a good tone, but I'm really digging the Guitar Rig 4 program now. Much more versatile in my opinion with tones of things to tinker around with. Anyway, have a great day. Cheers...
@NeoClassicalFan o so preamps and power amps have tubes i didnt know also awsome guiatr collection sheesh i wish i had atleast a fender strat im 15 btw
@crisDAwog Fender's are great man, but I only have 1 custom strat I put together now. I've sold most of those guitars and now I have 2 Custom DCs. Dean Cascione builds all his guitar by hand and are much better than any Strat I've played, but they come with a LARGER price tag. If you don't know Dean Cascione you should check him out. He's a great guitarist and guitar builder. Have a great day. Cheers...
bravo!! any interest on my Dc 24 frets neck? Dean is builting a Ibanez profile neck to replace the one i got so i will sell mine. please let me know!! tears
@mikekerr Hey Mike... Thanks for watching my Brother's cover. Anyway, I have no need for a neck at the moment. Thanks for asking. You've been a great friend to me and I appreciate it. Anyway, keep on shredding my friend. DC ROCKS!!! Cheers...

i see a JEM! thats my dream guitar. and great cover btw one of the cleanest ive heard. wish i could play like you. only been playing for 2 yrs haha=P well great playing anyways you should have a record deal by now
Wow. Thanks for the kind words about my playing. My technique is getting better and better, but I feel I have to improve a lot more before I record anything. By the way, that's a Jem copy unfortunately and not a very good one. Ordered it online and wasn't happy with it once I got it. Oh well. Anyway, have a great day. Cheers...
I use Seymour Duncan hotrails in both the neck and bridge pickup position. They are great sounding pickups. Thanks for checking out my video. Have a great day. Cheers...

Anyway, if you want it I think I still have it on my computer. Send me a pm with your e-mail and I'll see what I can do. Have a great day. Cheers...
I agree with you. The guitarist's vibrato is like fingerprints... very personal. If it doesn't come from inside, it is worthless... I liked your cover, I'm a big fan of Yngwie. Keep rockin', man!
Hey thanks. I appreciate it. I totally agree. Everyone's vibrato is different and is a way a guitarist can make their guitar speak without words. Anyway, I'm glad you enjoyed the cover. Have a great day. Cheers...
Can I give you a little advice? I´m not a guitarsit but bassist, but I think you can use your vibrato slower, try to fit them with the tempo. But I love your cover, really.
No you can't. :) Just kidding. Vibrato is very personal in a way. Kind of hard to explain, but it's a way a guitarist can really have their feelings come through and how they feel at the time. I personally like my vibrato and probably put more thought into it now than I did when I recorded this video. Anyway, thanks for checking out my video. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Have a great day. Cheers...

Dude! that was some great playing...I just have 2 questions koz I really want to learn how to play this. What tuning is this song on and at 15-17 seconds are those sweep picking arppegios? hope not....lol
Hey. Thanks for the comment and kind words. My guitar is tuned to Eb as Yngwie does. The part in which you are talking about is a series of G# Diminished 7th arpeggios. All using 3 strings. Anyway, thanks for checking out my videos. Have a great day. Cheers...
Hey there. Neo-Claccical stuff is amazing. I love the blend of classical music with rock. Definitely works great together. Anyway, thanks for checking out my video. Glad you enjoyed it. Cheers...
Hey there... Well, I only have 2 of those guitars still. I've sold the others and purchased 3 custom carvins, 2 of which are 7 strings. I currently just ordered a custom guitar from Dean Cascione, who runs DC Custom guitars. He's built some amazing guitars for Joe Stump, George Bellas, and Mike Kerr, who are great players. They all said his guitars are killer, so I saved my pennies and ordered one. I'll have that in April. Can't wait. Anyway, thanks for checking out my video. Cheers...
Not sure if I still have the tabs kicking around, however I do have the backing track still. Give me your e-mail and I'll send you the backing track. Cheers...
Thanks for the comment. It's not the strings. I have no problems bending with those strings. Since then I've gone to a slightly heavier strings and I don't have any problems with them. I was just a bit pitchy with a few bends near the end. I should re-record this in the future to improve on those few mistakes. Anyway, thanks for checking out my video. Have a great day. Cheers...
Hey. Thanks for the comment. I picked up the backing track online somewhere. Just send me a personal message with your e-mail and I'll send it your way. Cheers...
It's an Yngwie strat with a warmoth scalloped neck on it. I prefer the warmoth necks over the stock Yngwie strat necks. As for effects I don't use much. A ton of distortion with a little reverb. Nothing else. I use a Pod XT Live, Mesa Boogie Simul 295 Stereo poweramp, and a Marshall JMP-1 preamp. Thanks for the comment. I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Cheers...
I have quite the setup. My guitars run into my Pod XT Live. From there it goes into my Marshall JMP-1 preamp then into my Mesa Boogie Simul 295 Stereo poweramp and finally into my Marshall 4x12 cab. As for the pickups, that guitar has a Dimarzio HS-3 in the bridge and a Dimarzio YJM in the neck as it is a Yngwie strat. Thanks for the comment. Cheers...
Very well done! Great vidioes you have putted out:) like your style;) BTW: Big Yngwie fan myself:) Chek out my fav vidioes maby we have the same style^^,
Hey.... Thanks for the kind words and I'm glad you enjoyed my videos. I haven't posted anything lately, so I'll have to get on that. I'll check out your videos. Thanks. Cheers...
Yep, very nice, very nice... I feel a little poor with my beginner's video lol. But if you could watch it and tell me what you think, I'd very much appreciate it... And that's always a pleasure playing on this song.
awesome playing! why the yjm pickup in the neck. because it has more high tones than the hs3? and the hs3 in the brige cause it has more base? in wanna do it the same way
Hi there... Thanks for the comment. In terms of my tone, I'm not after Yngwie's tone. If I wanted his tone I'd keep tweaking with my settings until it was just right. Anyway, I'm glad you liked it and thanks again for the comment. Cheers...
Damn man simply awsome, I watch all your videos, I love listening to your sweet tonal sound and have been learning a whole lot from your clips thanks for posting mate!. Oh BTW can you tell me what gear you use with your strats to get that yjm type sound? Cheers,
Great job on a beautiful song! I've tried to teach myself the simpler parts of that song and can tell from your playing in this video that I was using all the wrong notes. I'm all over the neck somehow. I suppose I should take some formal lessons...Need a higher paying job first. Excellent technique and tone. Nice job.
Very good! But try to add more nerve, make the vibrato more intense! From 1:05 to 1:33 play it on the g string and add some trills, bends, and slides, especially at the repeat, with very wide vibrato and on the bridge pickup.Rock on!
Loved it. Im a big time Yngwie fan i can say i very much liked this. Smooth, clean u got it. Have a great day and keep playing:) Greetings from Norway.

Cheers...

'good.. but seeyin it I think your guitar has the strings too hard to play... detune it and transcribe to better bends ... very nice play !!
guitarspectre 3 years ago
Thanks for the comment. It's not the strings. I have no problems bending with those strings. Since then I've gone to a slightly heavier strings and I don't have any problems with them. I was just a bit pitchy with a few bends near the end. I should re-record this in the future to improve on those few mistakes. Anyway, thanks for checking out my video. Have a great day. Cheers...

Great video. What type of guitar and effects did you use?
lovetruly08 3 years ago

Cheers...

Yep, very nice, very nice... I feel a little poor with my beginner's video lol. But if you could watch it and tell me what you think, I'd very much appreciate it... And that's always a pleasure playing on this song.

awesome playing! why the yjm pickup in the neck. because it has more high tones than the hs3? and the hs3 in the brige cause it has more base? in wanna do it the same way
SenoRodriguez 3 years ago
It's setup that way because that's how the Yngwie strats come setup. Thanks for the comment.

your tone is a little bit high .
Good job
popopspin38 3 years ago
Hi there... Thanks for the comment. In terms of my tone, I'm not after Yngwie's tone. If I wanted his tone I'd keep tweaking with my settings until it was just right. Anyway, I'm glad you liked it and thanks again for the comment. Cheers...

Very nice, but you skip his fills.
LadyZeppelin1960 3 years ago
I didn't plan on playing exactly like Yngwie. It was my own arrangement. Glad you enjoyed it though. Cheers...

Damn man simply awsome, I watch all your videos, I love listening to your sweet tonal sound and have been learning a whole lot from your clips thanks for posting mate!. Oh BTW can you tell me what gear you use with your strats to get that yjm type sound? Cheers,

Pretty good, and very clean.
But I think you aren't really feeling the music. I don't know how to explain, it all looks a bit dead, you know?
Really nice and smooth playing tho.
