You also have forgotten that the poll workers would notice anomalies from the typical voting pattens in their precinct. Also, take a moment to read the wikipedia article on SAIC, the organization which formulates the security protocols and dictates them to all state boards of elections. Study the types of contracts SAIC works on typically and the number of intelligence agents in the company's leadership. The fact that looking the code is illegal and the fact that you could easily get a receipt but its purposely designed to deny the voter a receipt makes it more like basic common sense than any type of "theory."

There is no tamper proof voting system, but the computer system that i have worked with is much more secure than paper ballots. One added level of security that has been proposed is to have each person get a paper receipt. This raises the problem of voters falsifying receipts or being pressured by union bosses to reveal their votes. I would like the receipt to be an option.

We can ASSUME that they are RIGGED BECAUSE we get no receipt. There is no other conceivable reason to not get a receipt. You get a receipt when you take 20 bucks out of an ATM. There is NO EXCUSE to not receive a receipt and the fact that we are not getting one means it is VERY safe to assume the 4 companies that make the machines that handle 80% of our nations votes are RIGGED.

Malicious code can erase itself leaving no trace and be set off by a timer for the election says it all. The fact that with paper ballots there are REAL ballots that don't destroy themselves automatically leaving no trace makes paper ballots way more dangerous and difficult to dispose of with no witnesses. Then the polling employees would HAVE to be IN ON IT. With rigged machines, just a few people could rig the whole nation with latent source code which is illegal to look at.

Part three: The computer system is more secure than the paper ballot. It would be easier to dump fake paper ballots into boxes than to hide computer code and such code would somehow have to find its way onto thousands of machines without a trace. Tthe scenario presented in the testimony would be defeated by the checks already in place in Henrico. You would have to compromise hundreds of poll workers to pull something like this hypothetical scenario off.

That's all you need to know really. The fact that you get no receipt pretty much guarantees a rigged election.

Part two: Before the poll workers are dismissed and the vote count reported, the paper tape and computer totals must match the total number of voters who voted that day. Once the votes are totaled, the tapes and flash drives are sealed in containers. The voting computers are sealed in a locked container and the State Board of elections officials are given the keys and the vote tapes. (I'll post a third part to this)

Part One: I have worked at polls in Florida, Virginia, California and Louisiana. Most recently, I worked at a poll in Henrico County Virginia, where we used computer based voting machines. The computers are delivered in locked containers to each site. The computers have a paper tape and a flash memory stick. At the conclusion of voting, the flash memory stick is pulled and the paper tape printed out that reveals the vote count for each machine. (I'll Post a second part to this)
