  • WATCHIIIIIINGGGGGG!!! fucking epic!

  • The romans were as said below... epic. But why the fuck was the italian army in WW2 a bunch of pansys? Honestly, 200 000 italians agaisnt 20 000 british soldiers and the british win and push them back hundreds of kilometers with almost half of the italians surrendering... where did they go wrong?

  • Varus Varus give me back my legion xD

  • @Afereth W8 I tot Varus was the commander of the roman troops who were destroyed by the germans at Germania??

  • @skulllegend96 you though right octavian used to say this phrase to express his pain for losing so many men thanks to that idiot of a general.

  • ''Whatever comes out of that mist you will hold your ground.'' Anyone expect armored cave trolls to come charging out?

  • It's a trap!

  • personally i find this heartbreaking, so see so many good romans betrayed and murdered. it sucks cause the common soldiers were led into this situation and had no control over their own fate. it would also just never happen- the only way a roman legion would be killed in the woods was through a series of harassing actions that deprived them of coordination (Teutoberger Wald), not a single pitched battle that would kill everyone.

  • @useagle1115 The picts had every right to do it though, after all they were only defending their land

  • @JonWilliamEden ya true it just sucks cause most of these soldiers dont have control over where they go and yet they're the ones who get slaughtered.

  • Its one hell of a day when you get ambushed by meteorites. :o

  • Moral of the story, don't invade Britain

  • @JonWilliamEden but it was colonized by romans, before invasion, britishers were like human sacrificing people, i saw it in discovery channel few years ago

  • @fossilshale so what?

  • @fossilshale Aye they did sacrifice people and there was a head hunter cult as we can see with sites like Covesea but the Romans crucified people on mass for defiance against the Republic/Empire. We can't claim one side was better than the other when both sides kept slaves and both practiced rather gruesome traits.

  • @JonWilliamEden you mean Scotland :p

  • @JonWilliamEden People did, regularly! And sometimes they won, atleast until 1066 :P

  • How come, for some reason, every time something gets in the way of an army or something, and they realize it's an ambush, they always get in formation. They never run and then come back and fight. Flight, then fight, then flight. It's a pretty good strategy, I think.

  • The Romans would never suffer that many casualties and when being abushed why not kill Etain for betrayal? ANd it was kind of stupid when the hold the line against the fire balls. A whole Legion would never be slaughteredlie that.

  • @DerRapist well if u read history there are examples of entire romans legions being slaughtered like this. the the teutoburg forest is a good example.

  • @DerRapist you should read some history. This is exactly what happened in Teutoburg Wald when Teutonic Tribes lured a Roman legion into a trap and massacred thousands of Romans. They are still excavating the site in Germany......

  • Some country should come up with a rome-styled military regime. I would move to such country immediately!

  • its a trap call admiral ackbar.

  • bleh, the battle was gay

  • Whatever comes out of that mist lads.....you will hold the line.

  • this makes Gladiator look like a Disney movie

  • download movie - rollys.tk

  • wheres the pilum?

  • Hmm. Last of the Mohicans battle in helmets.

  • @josephfrancisneri yes .In the last of the mohican english troops get murdered in a similar trap while they are marching.

  • "HOLD THE LINE!"

"Uh sir theres giants flaming balls coming at us, shouldnt we uh side step or something?"

    "I SAID HOLD THE LINE!!"

    "Sir?"

    "WHAT!?!"

    "Your a dumbass sir."

  • @peoplegoboom100 haha that was funny dude!LOL

  • ok boring

  • LOL if I was there and saw those Huge Ass fireballs coming my way and the commander or generals tells me to hold the line... I would have ran my ass of and tell him to go screw himself

  • -ball of fire rollin' down- "watchinnnnnnah..."

  • trying to copy gladiator

  • WATCHING!!!!!!!!

  • this is why i like HISTORY EPIC!!

  • Gladiatorn 2 ?? haha

  • saw it, it was a pretty good movie, a great historical film.

  • gladiotor 3??? considering the new robin hood was gladiator 2

  • @Chowkin9 LOL so trueeeee

  • @Chowkin9 dumb

  • I want giant flaming marbles of doom!!!

  • "Hold the line" against flaming balls of death?

How about "move the fuck out of the way," then reform the line?

  • @EMPIREofPUPPETS i really laughed when i read what u typed ;]

  • @EMPIREofPUPPETS EPIC ANWSER!!!

  • @EMPIREofPUPPETS hahahahaha thanks man, i was having a shitty day until i read this

  • @EMPIREofPUPPETS They wouldn't of had time to reform. The balls of fire were in such a large concentration there wouldn't have been any escape anyway.

  • @EMPIREofPUPPETS either way, the flaming ball is on the road unless the balls magically roll uphill.

  • @EMPIREofPUPPETS lmfao0

  • @EMPIREofPUPPETS moving an entire line and getting it back into position would take a lot of effort and add to confusion. By the time everyone has formed up agian, the enemy will have attacked. By holding the line, you keep tactical discipline and increase the chances of victory/survival. Flaming balls would have been designed to break up a formation, not kill.

  • @EMPIREofPUPPETS it's actually really hard to do that with like 6000 men in a span of less than a minute

  • fuckin funny....fantastic movie making, fantastic...but they do take a liberty here and there...."move the fuck out of the way" was more like the squealing call.....

  • umm wtf? all i saw was fireballs. >.> This is better suited to the historical channels.

  • Wtf I didn't know Amazon had on-demand video. :O

Yay I dont have to wait for the blu-ray anymore since my local theater wont be playing this movie.

  • It's a trap!

  • Amazon has this up for pre-theatrical rental

  • Looks Awesome!

  • was that in troy?

  • you actually see the intensity of old battle. non of that 300 shit. even though the romans were dominant and the great civilization at this time you can still see the fear

  • @unclebuck0500 ... 300 was amazing. it was based on the comic book. so it had a comic book feel. this seems to be more literal yes. but still, dont know 300 dude, it was amazing.

  • @unclebuck0500

so nto true in the trailers the battles "look" awesome but theres really only one big battle. and that 1 battle was badly done it goes super quick and u dnt even have enough time to aprreciate it

  • @unclebuck0500 Romans used Guerrilla warfare against hannibal and eventually beat him...As Rome grew...Complacentcy set in the military, thinking they are the great fighting force on Earth, victory after victory, failing to adapt to different enironments, and changing....On the other hand Romes enemies were changing and adapting, which lead to western empire falling..

  • @smiley123458 no the west didnt employe this type of legion. they used barbarian mercenerys cuz they were p00r

  • @smiley123458 The Roman military was the most powerful ever along all the history because it had modern advanced technics, weapons and tactics. It could also recruit endless soldiers from all the empire. Rome conquered anything was interested to annex, elsewhere it chose just to establish borders to control the enemies. This wise policy permitted to establish the greatest empire ever that lasted more than 2000 years even after the western part's fall weakened from too many romanized foreigners

  • @unclebuck0500 You know, on that field you are fighting in cloud, do not know who is just trying to attack you and with what force from both directions. Many people would piss their pants.

  • @unclebuck0500 Do you even know anything about the Spartans? Aside from the fact that 7,000 Greeks fought, possibly, 300,000 Persians. Not all of the 7,000 were Spartans. About 20,000 Persians died. And in the old testament God made Gideon and 300 men fight several thousand Midianites and win.

  • @Tehkumsah Also the Spartans had sex with children and were uber racist. Infact Hitler tried tried to make his own Thermopalye with 300 of his one SS!!!! (It failed horribly :P)

  • @unclebuck0500 Maybe because the 300 Spartans had NO FEAR.

  • that looked pretty sweet

  • so epic
