Tip for re-applying screws that carve the hole when manufactured. Before you tighten the screw, turn it the other way until you feel the screw jump or drop suddenly. This is where you should start re-tightening the screw. If not done this way, then you might distort the shaped carving and the screw won't fit flush any more. These types of screws are found in a lot of consumer devices. I don't know many technical terms. :P

@duganator100 I actually did notice the curve design, which might make it difficult to fit anything in the sides. I also noticed that apple markets it as a "revolutionary" tablet computer, which they can conveniently shrink into an iPhone with all the same features and more, a few months later. Total scam. I feel bad for the apple fanboys who bought this.

You shouldn't take a Ipad or Ipod or Iphone apart because they all use the same screen bezzel and rubber gasket that always when people take these items apart after you put it back together give it about 1 month and you will notice dirt and dust building up under the glass in between the screen and glass because it will never seal up the same so people who do this its at your own risk i suggest not taking apart your ipad or any of apples products

@danielc365 there are adhesive kits that surround the plastic mid board and seals it again just like the original so that barely any dust can ever get back in again. Just they are a bitch to fit on the sides as its only a millimeter or so thick up the sides of the frame on the iphone.

the ipad looks like it has a lot more hollow space inside of it that apple could have packed alot more stuff in there to make the ipad more like a mac (they could have made a full out computer.... i guess the cost issue though...). lazy apple just copying the ipod touch!
