A true Cunard moment. We waited beside the cliff railway with a happy band of people. 2-25 the sun came out and highlighted the ship. We phoned the kids on board and took some stunning photos. Yes, she is not the QE2 which we miss so much but she is miles a head of the blocks of flats theat sail the seas today. I haven't beein on either.. but I was out there on a pleasure steamer the last time she sailed past in 2004! We enjoyed a big swell as QM2 gliding along! I think she def came in closer this time, much closer!
I was on her in 2004 when she first sailed up the east coast of England to Edinburgh. Jimmy Salville wanted us to sail close to Scarborough and we did and were treated with an RAF training exercise by one of their helicopters. Fantastic ship the Queen Mary 2 is but not as good as the QE2 in my opinion,

Nice video,was it windy up there?
I was down at the harbor wall,got a bit wet with the spray,but it was well worth it.
