also die Gitarre ist doch deutlich präsenter, als im Original und gerade bei den palm mutes hört man sie doch auch deutlich, wobei sie sich wohl vom Sound an sich weniger abhebt

ah... ok.. jetzt weiß ich was du meinst glaub ich. naja, zum einen versuch ich sie natürlich gar nicht erst zu treffen mit dem pick, zum anderen klemm ich sie mit der greifhand ab, so dass sie nicht schwingen kann...

oder meinst du den powerchord bei dem die quinte fehlt und quasi nur die oktave klingt? da mute ich die "mittlere" saite auch mit dem zeigefinger der greifhand - liegt nur ein bisschen auf, so dass die saite gerade nicht klingen kann.

danke für die blumen. dadurch, dass der sonic so weniger bass hat erhoffe ich mir eine präzisere wiedergabe der tiefen frequenzen (dropped C). da ich die gitarre in letzter zeit auf dropped C gestimmt lasse ist das so in ordnung denke ich. bei standard tuning würde ich ihn wohl wieder umdrehen. meines wissens habe ich damals sogar bei dimarzio angefragt, wie rum es denn besser wäre und ich meine mich zu erinnern, dass john (petrucci) das bei seiner music man genauso handhabt.
