i saw the goo goo dolls last night live in Dublin and John was singing great. He has a really unique voice and I think all these people criticizing his voice should stop giving him such a hard time. I am a big Boyzone fan but I think Ronan should have left the original as it was. It should never have been covered. Nothing beats the Goo Goo Dolls version of Iris.

But the better performer of that song "IRIS" is no other than the Goo Goo Dolls.
Besides, Goo Good Dolls doesn't give Ronan Keating a permission to sing their song "IRIS".

excuse me, 'morethanalittlecrazy', this is not about the money for johnny. he himself said that iris was sent down to help him, as it pulled him out of severe writers block and depression, and gave him the confidence to keep on doing what he does best- singing and writing songs. It obviously means a lot to him. And i'm sure that he would be pissed that this keating dude covered it without permission, and did a shitty job while he was at it. no one can do it as well as the goos, that is final.

this is johnnys song. he wrote it, he sang it, along with mike and robby. keating, im not saying he sucks at singing, but johnny is obviously way more talented and theres no way in hell keating could do this better than the goo goo dolls. has anyone seen the ggd perform this at thier buffalo concert in the rain? only someoene with real talentlike johnny could sing that well in conditions like that. i doubt keating could have done half as well

Singing along to a backing track sounds like there are duplicate singers singing together.Listening carefully it is possible to hear somewhat two voices in a backing track performance.

Playing a backing track while you sing allows you to hit the hight notes easier and also gives a nicer sound to the live performance. It gives a fuller voice and is so easy to recognise as it sounds like the cd you buy.
