@popace to tell you the truth in a straight line the Enzo can't win. its out matched. the reason being is the ZR1's shift time is quicker, its top speed is around the same, its acceleration is faster, the BHP is higher, the weight is better distributed and its lighter, and its wheels are better set for drag racing. sure an Enzo is a good car on a track but in a straight line its just not going to get the zr1 in the mile. remember almost all American sports cars are set for quarter and full mile

I'm still in shock at how comfortable Veyrons are. I got to drive one and at 90mph(highway) it felt completely still, despite having 1001 German horses behind me. 2 TONS OF EPIC FTW!
Disregard the part I typed about driving a Veyron, I meant I was in the passenger seat of it... t'was an amazing feeling when I realized I was in a car that people would kill to just see.
First off take off the rear spoiler its causing too much downforce which kills the cars speed, Wider wheels at the rear, also why don't you try launching the car without Traction control on, just rev at 4,000RPM soon as you launch let the revs drop then asoon as the wheels stop spinning, put full throttle. Traction Control slows the accelaration down quite alot.
I want to say on your corvette you were revving it at 5000 rpms. Which i assume is the max i have never used that car. But you always want to rev your engine to about 500-1000 rpms below your max amount of rpms to get the most ideal start.
A little word of advice, dont red line your engine while the countdown is going down, it only causes you to burnout more which causes you to loss acceleration and speed. Just rev your engine enough so that it is right before the red line on the rpm tracker.
problem in this game is that awd is a way to big abvantage, eg watch bugatti vs maclaren F1 by top gear and u will see that even with awd the bugatti isnt the first to pull away, but in forza the awd are always "jumping" forwards.

That would be for the fact that Top Gear is British.... McLaren is British. look at the stats of the 0-60 and 0-100. Bugatti owns. 2.8 0-60 for the Veyron and 3.1 for the McLaren. It would be driver error or it would be because its TV. Everyone knows the Veyron is faster in every which way over the F1 they have to make it interesting. If you don't believe me then go look up the stats for each.
@scoobyfan2009 The reason that happend was because Richard turned of the launch assist in the Bugatti. The reason they did that was to make it more interesting. I actually think thats fair though because the Mclearen F1 has no launch assist either. The Veyron may be faster, but the F1 is still the king to me :)
But why not use what the car has to offer. Thats like saying the F1 is RWD so the Veyron should be also. They make the car with the launch control for the reason it has better numbers. Why alter it to make it more "fair"? It's unfair to take away from the Veyrons acceleration. And when did he ever say that he turned off the launch assist off? I think its for the very reason I said.

@Riesenpuller l red few lines on why F1 pulled faster... cocnlusion was that advantage of F1 was its naturally aspirated engine compared to turbos of Veyron. (Don't ask me why maybe not enough air :P )

What are the engine swaps for a z06? The LS9(zr1 engine) might not be the best engine to put in it.

you have to experiment with the RPM you launch with, but even with an AWD car i can take off like .750 seconds of my time on 1/4 mile with a good launch time. You know it's good when your car's wheels aren't spinning in first gear around the red line, like at 1:30 -1:32 ish.
on top of everything that's already been said.. you also left the wing on. even with the minimum amount of downforce the drag still has a significant affect.. small but significant

u can beat it ... improve ur shifting, dont shifting straight after it hits the red spot on the gauge. you have to hit it when its at the end of the red thing .. that way u get more speed and the tranny has time to change before it gets the power blow.

You could have beaten the Veyron if you didn't rev to the redline on the grid. Rev to about 5000 rpm and start from there. Take off traction control too, you will accelerate faster.

watching this has gave me an idea. get the bugatti and two other cars and set up like this have the challenger race the two other cars (hosts choice) if they get beat then get a stock bugatti to race the challenger in a mile drag race and if that gets beat then we might raise the stakes even more and you can guess where i am going with that. even so this ZO6 has a good chance with a little tuning to beat the bugatti.
thats the dumbest peice of advice ever. Hardening the springs will resist weight transfer, causing MORE wheel spin, and raising camber (im assuming you mean adding some) will cause him to have a smaller contact patch, and LESS traction.
Actually you want to soften the rear in a powerful RWD. Stiffening them will only resist weight transfer even more, you want the rear to squat. Places more weight over the rear tires aiding traction. Seriously if you can't tune don't give advice.

@GridGOD7778 the zr1 has a 6.3 litre motor and the z06 has a 7.0 motor. the 427=7.0 flat out motor has more horsepower than the zr1. the supercharger only helps the corvette with 6 mph on the zr1 add a supercharger on the z06 and you will go 220+

I'm still in shock at how comfortable Veyrons are. I got to drive one and at 90mph(highway) it felt completely still, despite having 1001 German horses behind me. 2 TONS OF EPIC FTW!

First off take off the rear spoiler its causing too much downforce which kills the cars speed, Wider wheels at the rear, also why don't you try launching the car without Traction control on, just rev at 4,000RPM soon as you launch let the revs drop then asoon as the wheels stop spinning, put full throttle. Traction Control slows the accelaration down quite alot.

I want to say on your corvette you were revving it at 5000 rpms. Which i assume is the max i have never used that car. But you always want to rev your engine to about 500-1000 rpms below your max amount of rpms to get the most ideal start.

A little word of advice, dont red line your engine while the countdown is going down, it only causes you to burnout more which causes you to loss acceleration and speed. Just rev your engine enough so that it is right before the red line on the rpm tracker.

problem in this game is that awd is a way to big abvantage, eg watch bugatti vs maclaren F1 by top gear and u will see that even with awd the bugatti isnt the first to pull away, but in forza the awd are always "jumping" forwards.

That would be for the fact that Top Gear is British.... McLaren is British. look at the stats of the 0-60 and 0-100. Bugatti owns. 2.8 0-60 for the Veyron and 3.1 for the McLaren. It would be driver error or it would be because its TV. Everyone knows the Veyron is faster in every which way over the F1 they have to make it interesting. If you don't believe me then go look up the stats for each.

@scoobyfan2009 The reason that happend was because Richard turned of the launch assist in the Bugatti. The reason they did that was to make it more interesting. I actually think thats fair though because the Mclearen F1 has no launch assist either. The Veyron may be faster, but the F1 is still the king to me :)

But why not use what the car has to offer. Thats like saying the F1 is RWD so the Veyron should be also. They make the car with the launch control for the reason it has better numbers. Why alter it to make it more "fair"? It's unfair to take away from the Veyrons acceleration. And when did he ever say that he turned off the launch assist off? I think its for the very reason I said.

I'm surprised you can't beat the Bugatti, I have built up my Challenger SRT8 and it'll kill a stock bugatti by over a second. But I also have a built up bugatti that will blow by Challenger away by over 2 seconds lol
What are the engine swaps for a z06? The LS9(zr1 engine) might not be the best engine to put in it.

you have to experiment with the RPM you launch with, but even with an AWD car i can take off like .750 seconds of my time on 1/4 mile with a good launch time. You know it's good when your car's wheels aren't spinning in first gear around the red line, like at 1:30 -1:32 ish.

thanks for the upload and all but your car sucks the sweat out of a dead mans balls, try an older style corvette with the ls7 fully tuned and put your diff to 4.00 final drive and 2.25 for first and 1.75 for second, 1.25, 1.00, 0.85 and 0.70 for 6th these are my standard s on all aerodynamic 800+hp cars, with a higher 6th you can see 250 and launch well, granny launches suck with traction controll

With the Veyron you can only reach the topspeed if you have the designated second key. So the game is quite realistic in that way....

u can beat it ... improve ur shifting, dont shifting straight after it hits the red spot on the gauge. you have to hit it when its at the end of the red thing .. that way u get more speed and the tranny has time to change before it gets the power blow.

Soften the rear springs, take off Traction controle & learn how to launch w/o smoking the tires and you'll win that race... Should leave the LS9 in the ZR1 and just mod that.. But im guessing you dont have the LCE..

You could have beaten the Veyron if you didn't rev to the redline on the grid. Rev to about 5000 rpm and start from there. Take off traction control too, you will accelerate faster.

watching this has gave me an idea. get the bugatti and two other cars and set up like this have the challenger race the two other cars (hosts choice) if they get beat then get a stock bugatti to race the challenger in a mile drag race and if that gets beat then we might raise the stakes even more and you can guess where i am going with that. even so this ZO6 has a good chance with a little tuning to beat the bugatti.

thats the dumbest peice of advice ever. Hardening the springs will resist weight transfer, causing MORE wheel spin, and raising camber (im assuming you mean adding some) will cause him to have a smaller contact patch, and LESS traction.

Actually you want to soften the rear in a powerful RWD. Stiffening them will only resist weight transfer even more, you want the rear to squat. Places more weight over the rear tires aiding traction. Seriously if you can't tune don't give advice.
