I swear man everytime I listen to any of these songs my love for Coheed is re-instated. This is probably the greatest live show ever fucking recorded.
@MrLockerzhacks He's not a fuck up. He's a victim of the problems of drugs. I heard an interview with Josh Eppard and they dont lay all the blame on him. He was sick and as in the same way of Josh, they needed to get him out of the band so he could get better, get over his sickness.
So pumped to see Josh Eppard back in the fold. I watched the Coheed documentary that's on here in 10 min parts and he seemed generally bummed he wasn't a part of it anymore. Chris Pennie is a great drummer don't get me wrong, but his style doesn't fit with Coheed's as well as Josh's did. Get that groove back.
@Giuzippper Look up any live videos in 2011. He can reach those notes again. I don't know what Claudio did this past year but his vocals have been better than they ever been.

@Xerotaerg Claudio's voice is still powerful. It might not be as high pitched as it used to be but that doesn't really matter. All that matters is the energy and the drive that he puts in in every performance.

@Xerotaerg Claudio was pretty decent the first night and not bad the second. That was a different circumstance as far as stress on vocals. I don't disagree that he was at his best here though.
To everyone wondering why it's so much faster than the studio version: When playing a song live, almost all artists speed it up. It's usually not intentional though, it's just with the adrenalin flowing through your system and the lights and thrill and everything it just kinda happens.
Also, I miss Claudio's voice back then D: he honestly shouldn't have started smoking.
This really was their best performance, at least to me. i remember watching this dvd when i was 11, and its still magic. claudios voice was perfect, and chris is great...but he'll never fill the hole josh left. josh had much more energy.
my favorite version of Everything Evil. He goes nuts with it, and he carrys the long notes like he really is enjoying singing them. If I was in a band, he'd be my main vocal inspiration for sure.
even at their regular timing Claudio misses some singing because what he's doing on guitar WHILE singing few can come close do doing at regular timing let alone this increase timing.

two things I've noticed, Claudio's voice seems to be going and he's not as up there as he is on the cd, guess that comes with having to do shows and sing all that so much, but another thing, why wasn't there any backround on 'we wait for your answer' and 'we'll fix him, restore him' is that all Claudio too?
@Brendanofthecult Don't forget that he smoked for a number of years. I think he stopped, but don't hold me to that. And for the most part, the backing vocals on the albums are Claudio singing. That includes "The Crowing" and "Delirium Trigger" even though Travis or Mic sing those parts live.
His voice doesnt sound as...high? as it does on the track, it sounds like it actually fits how he looks, is the voice on the tracks an editted version of his real voice?
in the studio he only has to perform one song at a time, doing these songs live makes it harder to keep his voice that high consistently, its his real voice on the album version becuase he paced enough to delvier the best performance he possibly can, live, he still does a great job by realistically he cant do his best every...single...time

Yeah, that's the lyric. They had to put a disclaimer in the booklet of "In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3" that the lyric was part of a story and that it shouldn't be taken seriously.

in the studio he only has to perform one song at a time, doing these songs live makes it harder to keep his voice that high consistently, its his real voice on the album version becuase he paced enough to delvier the best performance he possibly can, live, he still does a great job by realistically he cant do his best every...single...time

Yeah, that's the lyric. They had to put a disclaimer in the booklet of "In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3" that the lyric was part of a story and that it shouldn't be taken seriously.
