  • A Match is different than a scrim or a pug. I made my first judgement based on your title which described what you were playing as a "Match". Where on earth did I say that "testosterone" takes over my mind that easily? I'm saying, if you (people in general) have a shred of testosterone in your body (so males AND females), playing anything that is competitive (physical OR virtual), you will want to win or not get stomped on and not play shittily.

  • A match is any game. Any game at all. it can be insta spawn, payload, normal spawn, cp, ctf, anything. And obviously yes, I want to win, but it's not a huge deal if I don't. It's just a game. And yea, I know I'm not the greatest player, but so what? I'm having a good time playing with friends, which is the point of a video game. And again, it's not a league in any way.

  • What kind of league plays badwater... and what kind of players play heavy in any kind of match.

    Some newb league? l o l.

  • It's not even a league, so I don't know where you're getting that from. It was a community (I say was because out server went down for various reasons) and this was just a match for fun, not a serious scrim or anything. And I play Heavy sometimes because it's fun. You know what fun is, right? Ya know, the entire point of playing video games?

  • I love that "argument". Guys, why are you taking it so seriously? It's just a game! Play for fun! Sure, that's what people say about sports and everything... but if you are a guy and have balls, testosterone takes over. Who the hell truly has fun when they lose? And who the hell plays a VIDEO GAME COMPETITIVELY in a LEAGUE hahaha if you aren't taking it "seriously"?

Pugs are always "for fun". Matches are different than scrims/"fun" games. Read your title, retitle it.

  • This was a while ago, so maybe I'm misremembering when I say it wasn't a competitive match, but I can say it deffinitely wasn't in a league. Like I said, it was just a community, we didn't have a scrim team or a clan. As far as I remember, this was just a match between members of the community. As for the title, it says "Team Fortress meta: Badwater (again) Match 1". I don't see how that implies a competitive match in any way, so I don't see your point there.

  • And honestly, as long as it's a close match with somewhat balanced teams, it's fun whether you win or lose. Sure, it's no fun to be steamrolled, but on the other hand, it's not much fun to steamroll the other team because it's a short match where you fight the enemy maybe 3 times before you cap all the points. I'd have to say though, if you let testosterone take over your mind that easily, you must be a fairl weak minded person.

  • You, playing in a "match", as per your title, and spinning as a heavy with less than 50 hp running around aimlessly leads to an obvious negative comment on your playing abilities.

  • Did you have to pay for these new maps and stuff ( AND I'M GETTING A NEW PC SOON & L4D & CS:S & Orange [] also )

  • Nope, all updates to this game are 100% free.

  • Valve is the sweetest & on console games you would have to pay for the flare gun and stuff on consoles. WTF & I'll add you on steam if I

  • get a new computer
