Kinski was very gentle with animals...refer to the scene with the butterflies. i think the man had great respect for nature but loathed human kind for what they stood for.

@kabeto1985 There's not really a name for the song. The band who did the music for the movie put out an album entitled "Aguirre" with 2 songs, Aguirre I and Aguirre II. That would probably be pretty tough to find though =P

it's my favourite animal, if they were not so rare i'd have one for pet for sure. they are kept as pets though, but mostly by people that can't care for animals well
