  • MAKE THE BATMOBILE!!!

  • how the hell....a polygonal mesh from mudbox to a nurbs like skin in alias?! Is that possible or am I dreaming?

  • @syntaxed2 Thats called retopo no matter if you use polygons, nurbs, spline. He made a nice job here :D

  • Can you sculpt this without using a computer?

  • I love this video, you're good, very very good. The car is beautiful :o

  • what is the song's title?! tht song is awesome!!

  • Its all good until you try to look out the back window, then your design will fail and be taken of the production concept

  • @W4rD0g72 Haven't you heard of rearview cameras?

  • Love it...did you begin with a maya base mesh?

  • @d4024 yes he did.... you import the geometry into mudbox from maya, however it can also be exported from 3ds max

  • Doens't matter whether you understand italian or not: I just want to say that.. sei GRANDE, VERAMENTE BRAVO, UN ASSOLUTO TALENTO... STUPEFACENTE, di INFINITA BRAVURA. Sono SENZA FIATO!!!!

  • ¿Con MudBox se puede hacer modelado inorgánico?

  • Genius design.. simple and so unique. Great work!

  • dude you can sell that...

  • awesome job ! :D

  • how do you sharpen edges like that?

  • Great xD

  • Truly inspirational and amazing!

  • It's perfect, except for the hipster symbol on the roof

  • That's so sweet I'm going to try a vehicle now too. How did you get the surface reflecting like that?

  • If you've modelled an object in mudbox would you be able to rig it in maya and animate it?

  • well done

  • what is the software called exactly????

  • @BartzConcept mudbox. and one word thepiratebay XD

  • I'd buy it!

  • great job man :)

  • Nice workflow! For me is very difficult to sculpt smooth hard surfaces in mudbox, congrats!

What's the name of the music?

  • do u need maya or 3dsmax to use mudbox or can u use it stand alone

  • @questionmark14 u can use it standalone. That said most artists tend to create the concept in maya/3dsmax & then fine touch/sculp in mudbox-but it really depends on what you want to do.

  • mudbox rox help me a lot. the best think of it is that u can see 3d model how it appears after redering in real time !!!! In real time u can change reflections, shadows, lights, depth of field and actualy u can paint with different filters straight on the model love it !!!

  • alias looks so AWESOME, i cant believe that is that simple to use

  • What program are you using for the spline modeling in the end? Doesn't look like Max/Maya.

  • the program called Alias

  • This guy makes this look easy...

It ain't though, it really isn't.

    I think... Maybe.

  • @FreakinMonkeyDude I'm a student of his and I've seen him do stuff in person... he really does make it look extremely easy..hahaha

  • does anyone know the shortcut for the radius and strength of the brush

    thx

  • "B" key to change the brush size, "M" Key to change opacity or strength.

  • "B" Key to radius/size

    "M" Key for opacity/strength

  • My Compliments, just incredibly nice! How long did it take you?

  • WOW nice workflow!!!

  • what is better: 3ds max or mudbox?

  • they serve diferent purposes, personally, i make the model in maya and add details in mudbox

  • They are for different things. Mudbox is for detailing and creating models, 3dsmax is a complete animation package. If you want to create detailed models, go mudbox. If you want to create models but also animate, light, render, use physics, etc etc etc use 3dsmax

  • oh, with mudbox I can't to animate

Can I to export the mudbox model to 3ds max and to animate???

    thx for reply

    sorry for the bad english

  • yep :P

  • yes but you need to export the low poly model, with retopology and normal map because you cant animate the same model (that have a lot of polygons)

  • oh yeah

    that have a lot polygons

    mudbox is so realistic

    soon I'll to install its.

  • @DHLT2inDark

its the same family as 3dsm and maya so u can freelee import and export models between those programs

  • @DHLT2inDark its all personal preference

  • how do you export a mudbox file to alias?

  • i want whatever you got :)

  • Wow, -sculpting- mechanical shape ?! Without adding too much unwanted bumps and imperfect curves... really not the proper way but it came out good ! Congrats

  • He's showing how to sculpt concept for pre viz. Do you know what that means? Who cares if you have a few bumps and imperfect curves. What counts is the concept of sculpting autos in Mudbox, something that I guarantee you the auto companies haven't even though about....

  • @plodej Because auto companies have to calculate wind resistance as well, and mudbox doesn't do that, among other things. They do more than just throw 3D concepts together and make them into cars.At least not for public cars, the ones they make for auto shows is a whole different story lol.

  • @plodej pretty sure it is up to the modellers preference in this case.

  • That's wickedly cool dude :)

  • that is beautiful

  • Awesome dude

  • Why can't you be for mac!

  • Because mac decided to use OpenGL D:

  • it is for mac! just came out a few months ago

  • Alias and Mudbox is on the Mac.

  • You seriusly don't think you can download it for xp ? wow dumbass, how comes i got it ?

  • It is on Mac.

  • Because its a MANS software ;)

  • awesome, this and catia IMA are a great tool to make that kind of shapes, this is the Future of CAD

  • that is so tight

  • Nice work. How much did you worked on it?

  • awesome, as before...I see the industry changing before my eyes...are you working as an automotive designer yet? You will be soon once the studios see this!
