You want to fix the Economy, address the root:
Get rid of the Federal Reserve and let the markets control themselves and consumers control the outcome. Not the Government regulating every single thing. This is retarded.
That is the stupidest idea ever. Unregulated businesses will do whatever to make money at the moment. A CEO has no problem marring the name of a company if they come out of the situation with enough money to live 7 or 8 lifetimes with. Without regulation, what would stop a housing crises from happening again? Unregulated markets are a lot like Communism. They both work great theoretically - but when actually executed they help a couple people and screw over the rest.
Ummm, you do realize that this whole mess started as a result of conservative policies and deregulation, right? Regulation are to the markets, as checks and balances are to constitutional government. When the first part disappears, the second part dies.
