My take? Java moss is ok, but for a more compact & lush but not overly rigid look why not try Taiwan moss? It's a pleasing scape nevertheless, but not overly challenging in perspective. Kudos!
@barracauda it aint a tree (im guessing) im pretty sure it a odd piece of bog/driftwood with moss sewn(held by thread) on top and after a while it grew over or finnally attached to the piece wood or "tree"
Hi! Im so awed by the beauty of your tank that i decided to subscribe to your channel! Furthermore i bought a tank light a hang on filter going to get some fine gravel. Now i just have to learn on how to put the plants in the gravel...can you give advice and tell on some of the things i need thank you! :D
Chic gedaan. But a lot of plant species for such a small tank!! I notice the fascination for the Cardina multidentata. I've bred them and they are such tempramentful creatures, they live for 5 or 6 years too! Let me know when you need high grade crystal reds or blacks to put inside and make the picture complete ;-)
i dont know how he made it, but you can use some tree and then take some moss and then use a fishing line to keep it to the tree, and then just wait for it to grow on the tree. and then just cut the moss till it got the shape... my english is quite crappy :)
hey man...really love the tank...i have a 38liter but its not as nice...you can check it out if you like...im just growing plants, not an aquascaper yet
Thats really great, I like the small leaved plants and the way they add more depth and texture to the aquascape. I recently set up a 35L moss "tree" Betta aquarium and I couldn't remember where i got the idea from.
Maybe I'll get mine online if I can get hold of a decent camera phone (^^,)
That's a difficult question. I had the tank allready a long time. If you buy it new, the costs will be about: (in euros) - tank 25 - hang on filter 15 - heater 20 - 3 tl unit's 75 - 3 tl tubes 25 - bio co2 (DIY) 5 - DIY co2 reactor 10 = 175 euros Then you still need plants, fish, decoration material, nutrition, sugar and yeast for the bio co2, water, electricity, etc... I used products of quiet cheap brands, so no ADA...

Do you mean "Syrah" by Filipe Alves Oliveira?
It isn't the same tank, but mine is a bit inpired by Oliveira's tank.

It,s beautiful.
What do you doing the tree?? I´m thinking about...
(sorry for my english...)
fbm1984 3 years ago
I don't get what you mean. Do you mean how I made the tree?
It's just a piece of wood (I thought opuwa) with moss on it.
If you want to make a tree, you need to find a suitable piece of wood.
That's pretty hard. Sometimes you have to search a long time.
Tie the moss on the wood and have patience until the moss is matured.
