The owners of a corporation are shareholders. It is illegal to own a person or "shares" of a person or as some have put it, a human being. One Vote, One Person!
With move on and Alyona in principle. but "Congress shall pass no law" does not mean congress can take action and do something and ban corporations reguardless weather or not a corporation is a person.
I'm for removing corporate rights but the Constitution is absolutely clear on the issue... Then again it's clear about article 1 section 8 and the 9th and 10th amendments too but that doesn't stop the feds form ignoring those. Lets not let the facts get in the way of good intentions eh?
Thom Hartmann is very insightful. I think he is right that it's not as simple as the Supreme Court being overtly or implicitly bought off by corporations. It's just that most of the judges come from upper class and from the corporate world. They're merely defending their class against what they perceive as the unruly mob of democracy. It's true that many upper class believe that a Republic means that there must be a wise ruling class to enforce order.
Well; if the US is anything like the UK the courts themselves will be run for profit corporations so it would be fair to assume that they will all be in bed with each other, However corporations have no authority because they do not exsist, they only have a legal personality and a personality/person is nothing but a mere fiction written on a piece of paper.
