lived the long life as I did (85 years old of life

and 60 years since my debut on the 16th of May 1948

part 2:She had no real or many connections in the country since her life (and her husband's life) was so full and dedicated to the music.But it's all about the choices she made. Before coming to the studio she visited Angela Gheorghiu in her home (Bucharest) & she had some champagne & now she feels quite well :) Radio Presenter introduces a night at the Opera on a Tuesday only because in the studio there is the great Virginia Zeani live! and then she welcomes Virginia.

but she says that he used to be since now he's "rounder"

E.M.:He looks a bit like you a bit like his father

Z: He doesn't love music...he's a doctor..but he would

have had a nice baritone voice..My son nor his son (15 years

old)..they both don't want to listen to this music.

He likes diving and is part of a diving club and

gave up "being a doctor".She thanks Eugenia for an article she wrote about

her.

Madame Zeani is the kind of evolved personality our better selves want to be when

we grow up! She is gracious beyond description given her lack of sleep and other

discomforts from traveling, more interested in the other person than herself, radiates genuine warmth, wit, wisdom, femininity, and is unpretentious to a fault!

Come on Virginia, you really ARE the greatest living soprano! Thank you, Yvonne, for sharing the honor and thrill of watching VZ's triumphant return to her home-

land!

I would like to see a translation  also as a fan of hers, luckily through a mutual friend I spoke to her a few years ago on the phone. I also wanted to let her know Andy Karzas passed away in case she didn't know of his death on April 11 this year, at age 77-- A great loss to Chicago and fans of Rare older opera recordings from the turn of the century. Best to Virginia always from Chicago.

Grandeur, dignity and elegance... perfect words to describe the incomparable Virginia Zeani. Might I add to these, wise, generous, witty and globally beloved by all whose lives she has touched. Congratulations, dear Mme. Zeani. As the Monarch of the land of your birth honours you, so do we all.
