part6: among the first dear people she would have met in this trip. Eugenia: no need to thank me! I'm happy to be in this radio she appreciates so much for the quality of the shows. I'm so happy to be here tonight in the presence of a myth, a legend, a fairytale! I was barely in my first year at the Conservatoire when I saw this photo of Mme Zeani and then hearing her voice...I felt something that stayed with me forever and then when I finished Conservatoire at a gala,
part5:P: You are back in Romania now after 11 years since your last visit... Z: last time I was here I received a medal & I only stayed for a few days & I didn;t believe then I would be able to come again. But here I am again so happy but I would need a bit of sleep after my flight :) P: I can't let you sleep now. you have to stay a bit with us here in the studio. Then she thanks Eugenia for being there too since Mme Zeani wanted to see her among ...
part3: Z: are we live?! Presenter: Yes! we are. Z: then let's "gossip" about me :) P: Thank you for the 1st place you went was our studio for this interview. Z: after a 20 plus flight...I couldn't sleep at all but now after a glass of champagne with some ice (you can all be surprised an Opera singer wants ice) offered by Angela in her home and I'm so happy to be here with Eugenia Moldoveanu and you Luminita of course.P: you actually honored a promise made 1 year ago when ...
part 2:She had no real or many connections in the country since her life (and her husband's life) was so full and dedicated to the music. But it's all about the choices she made. Before coming to the studio she visited Angela Gheorghiu in her home (Bucharest) & she had some champagne & now she feels quite well :) Radio Presenter introduces a night at the Opera on a Tuesday only because in the studio there is the great Virginia Zeani live! and then she welcomes Virginia.
Draga de ea...o doamna de legenda...o doamna ce va ramane mereu in istoria lumii, a liricii lumii... imi creste inima cand o aud si o vad...ce mare binecuvantare sa existati, si ca ati existat , doamna Virginia Zeani!
Madame Zeani is the kind of evolved personality our better selves want to be when
we grow up! She is gracious beyond description given her lack of sleep and other
discomforts from traveling, more interested in the other person than herself, radiates genuine warmth, wit, wisdom, femininity, and is unpretentious to a fault!
Come on Virginia, you really ARE the greatest living soprano! Thank you, Yvonne, for sharing the honor and thrill of watching VZ's triumphant return to her home-
I would like to see a translation also as a fan of hers, luckily through a mutual friend I spoke to her a few years ago on the phone. I also wanted to let her know Andy Karzas passed away in case she didn't know of his death on April 11 this year, at age 77-- A great loss to Chicago and fans of Rare older opera recordings from the turn of the century. Best to Virginia always from Chicago.
Grandeur, dignity and elegance... perfect words to describe the incomparable Virginia Zeani. Might I add to these, wise, generous, witty and globally beloved by all whose lives she has touched. Congratulations, dear Mme. Zeani. As the Monarch of the land of your birth honours you, so do we all.
Bravissima for having touched so many with your gentle hands and glorious voice, both on stage, and in life!
part7: Mme Zeani was there & she came to me (she
had such an unbelievable beauty) to encourage me...
So tonight we are here with this marvelous human
being & her voice is just like her wonderful self.

part4:when
I called you to wish you Happy Bday! you said If I feel
well in 1 year time I shall come even in cruthes & you came! I have to assure our audience that
you are well, no cruthes & you are looking so
beautiful (Z: no cosmetic surgery!), elegant you still
have your humour.Z: without my sense of humour I couldn't have
lived the long life as I did (85 years old of life
and 60 years since my debut on the 16th of May 1948
in Traviata at 22 and a half years old at Bologna)

part1: Eugenia Moldoveanu says Virginia's son is so beautiful
but she says that he used to be since now he's "rounder"
E.M.:He looks a bit like you a bit like his father
Z: He doesn't love music...he's a doctor..but he would
have had a nice baritone voice..My son nor his son (15 years
old)..they both don't want to listen to this music.
He likes diving and is part of a diving club and
gave up "being a doctor".She thanks Eugenia for an article she wrote about
her.

@TheMontozje "What is it like to be the greatest living soprano in the world?"
"I wouldn't say that, you are quite kind."
"No, really, you are the best soprano still walking this earth! How does that feel?"
"I thank you, but there are many wonderful singers..."
"Tell us what it's like to be the best soprano ever!"
"*sigh* Great. I guess. Can I have a different question, please?"
