The 'Legend' that will be forever know as "The man from Strabane". The full clip appeared on the original Alright On The Night way back when?

The same show also featured an American news crew interviewing a fisherman from Peterhead in Scotland about the plight of the fisherman today. Like this clip,the interviewer had to keep asking the guy to slow down and speak clearly as he too was clearly emotional.Good but Strabane Man will live forever in my memory.

The interviewer was a plonker for not allowing him to speak. Legendary George Cunningham RIP

His name was George Cunningham, and he was protesting against unemployment and the Strabane Town Council's lack of action on it.

I remember this interview well. I used it quite recently to prove to Liverpool supporters that there were Irish people with as broad an accent as Kenny Dalglish.
