The decided to go their separate ways, feeling it was better for the band. They did their last tour in 2007, I was so happy they came to AZ.

Back in 2007 they did the tour known as the "Farewell (For now)" Tour. Chris started his own solo projects. Pretty impressive stuff. Sarah I believe also did the same thing. Sean teamed up with Jon Foreman from the band switchfoot and created a group known has Fiction Family... I like many are hoping that one day in the very near future nickel creek will make there comeback. and if its not soon then i have a feeling it will come with time. either way its going to be awesome when it happens.

Well, mainstream Country music now mostly focuses on looks and how well an artist will "sell". Look at most of the major artists...they look good and sound okay on the records. But get them in front of a live audience, and they can't carry a tune in a bucket...

Nickel Creek was amazing...a mix of Bluegrass, Folk, Country, Rock, Jazz...everything. Truly one of the the best bands of all time...

Not the lead singer, the mandolin player/backup singer for this song. ;) I love the Punch Brothers, and you're right, they aren't as good...but I've seen them in concert and they're fabulous. Sara and Sean (Fiddle and guitar, respectively) are on tour right now, promoting Sara's new record, I caught two shows and they were AWESOME. =)
