If you see a episode of Run's House you will see Ja Rule on one of the episodes because Russell Simmons brought Irv and Ja to Def Jam and Rev Run's son Diggy was good friends with Ja Rule's daughter. When Jay signed 50 and watched Jay laughing everytime 50 dissed Ja it hurt the whole Murder Inc. crew and many people thought it had something to do with Jam Master Jay's death. 50 Cent was always jealous of Ja Rule when Ja didn't have a problem with him.

What happened with 50 and Ja was back in 1995 Irv Gotti and Ja Rule met and when Def Jam gave Gotti his own label Murder Inc. he made Ja Rule the main rapper and co-Ceo along with Irv Gotti's brother now 50 wanted to sign with Irv Gotti and be on top over there but when he realized Ja was 50 got jealous and started hating on Ja and Irv and he signed with Jam Master Jay. Ja Rule told Jay that 50 had some kinda problem with him so why sign him because Run-DMC was cool with Irv Gotti and Jar Rule.
