Why are people trying to analyse this ? It just obvious people want to date hot people even if they have to pay for it. It's not like u can find a hot dude walking on the street... / fail
...Japanese women...interested in Visual Kei cosplay xD LOL . Or perhaps just the young men and the youthful "appearance".
The thing with these clubs... is that they don't leave room for people to TRY and look for an actual relationship. If all their money and attention is going to someone who doesn't even love them, then that is just a one way street.
I mean, if they want to spend money on a young person who only returns fake feelings for an hour. Then they should just find a golddigger lol
"young attractive men"???? there really strange in dressand attitudes. very feminine. but if this whole thing is take hold in japen, then maybe this is a glimps into the futures of our society.
society dictates what is attractive. in the west, the macho image is popular, or the metrosexual male but in other countries thinsg are just different. You view it as feminine but those guys actually are popular among women.
Ive had Jap cars, I liked them for reliablity, maximum power per litre, high rev's etc but now with a Italian car the feeling is more involved, more in one with the machine, nice noise, very stylish, but not reliable or economic so you cant have everything. Am I right?
I think the Japanease are very humble, well cultured people, after WW2 they learned that the west was not after occupation so this made them take the good aspects of our civilazation to heart, then they advanced and became known for quality products, hard work and honesty, low crime, high tech, but kept the better parts of thier old way, a good mix, hope they dont deteriorate and become too focused on self and loose out like in the west now.
This is a sad thing for most of the successful career woman....there is an existing fear when it comes to lifetime commitments.....some resort to club hosting.
As long as we are afraid to invest there is nothing much to venture except___stuck!
I am sad for arranged marriages.....it curtails freedom to choose:-(
okay... why is the translator speaking like that? Japanese english doesnt sound ditzy like her voice. I hate to think that they are using stereotypical "asian" accents.
I must say that these host clubs are a trap for men and women. The whole idea of paying for company is just a part of the culture. I had a friend who would spent $5000 a month on her favorite host.
I am glad my wife never part takes in such nightly activities. The whole society is in flux at the moment but the root starts at home.
@ircjunk2004 because she doesn't want an actual relationship. She doesn't have the time. A relationship with the man she met at the host club is not demanding of her.
Japanese women are paving new ideas thoughts and art to the reat of the world. Yaoi manga originates there but is now a craze in other parts of the world and is increasing its popularity. Although women have been classed as second class citizens Japan in itself has been an open society with secular views in its history.
heh, what's Japanese for fag hag? Please just as the romance novel is porn for chicks, the host club is a brothel for women.
It equally follows that as Japanese women gain greater status in their male partners. The problem is that competition amongst men will, under these conditions, produce and even smaller pool of suitable candidates for fatherhood.
how often does she go to the host club? especially if it's 1/2 of her salary. and what else can she do with the men at the host club? and apparently the service is available outside the club since they talk daily. so maybe it's a package deal.
11 hours of work a day? how many days does she work? and i'm guessing that $4000 a month is a lot esp. for someone in japan. it's a lot even in the usa. $48,000 a year.
Hi. I'm only responding from my personal experience living in Japan, so don't take my word as gospel.
But in my experience, part of the job of a host is to reel customers in, so they do e-mail/call customers to try and convince them to come to the club more. And most working people work pretty much as much as they can--many don't go home except to sleep. You're expected to give everything to your work. There's a backlash, of course, but it's still a big part of the culture.

this is the result of globalization.
women in japan are working hard to make money.
It was always gonna be like that since the end of WW2.
By giving chances to women work, the country can get taxes (MONEY!) off them...
We didnt have this system in Japan before the war.

WHAT A LOSER... she's paying more than HALF her monthly salary on fake relationships at a host club?
She isn't even ugly. Goodness.
And why are Japanese men so feminine in their looks? geez.
