  • Sweetest voice I've ever heard. So beautiful.

  • Comment removed

  • @ Derek9307 I used a different type of d/l software but it did the job. Thank you by the way :D

  • This is beautiful! Can I please get a copy of this version? Pretty please? :D Thank you for posting this! Much love!

  • @misguidedfool - I use Real Player (free version) to download & convert to mp3 from You Tube

  • jeffs vocal over eltons backing would sound great!!!

  • First we had everyone commenting about Justin Beaver everywhere, now Gaga please for the love of God not one more fucking word about those people. I'm hear to listen and comment about Jeff Buckley and in this whole fucking world he is the only one I need!

  • god i love this song.

  • What can you say? This is just uhmm.

  • Really pretty song,xo

  • What an ability, he can move you to anywhere with one note of voice!

  • Jeff Buckley like every song he sings become personal. Elton John is great just awesome, but this version is just gorgeous.

  • This version is just beautiful, my Dad introduced me to Jeff Buckley and I've listened to him growing up, I even did my school speech on him and his music cause he was such an awesome singer xD but I wish he was still alive making beautiful music ): R.I.P Jeff Buckley (A True Singing Legend)

  • he really looks like james framco

  • I've been listening to Jeff Buckley from the beginning, and he still takes me to places divine.

  • Jeff hums for about 30 seconds in the middle of the song. I am not complaining, It just proves that no matter what he does during a song, Jeff can still make it sound beautiful.

  • i usually sing along with buckleys songs

but not with this one , this one is too much for me to handle

  • @mrbatrang what do you mean?

  • Tabs? :/

  • Música mágica...

  • WOW!!!

  • @BeatDemon08 Good for you! Enjoy! There is so much to discover, I and probably alot of fans on here can remember that horrible May in1997 when he went missing....awful. No matter what, he is still here somehow and its lovely that people are always discovering him year after year! he was and is a gift to this earth,if only on loan for a short while...we love you Jeff x

  • Jeff's voice can literally reduce you to tears.. Check out our new tune 'Lucid- Choices'?

  • This song has made me cry multiple times... Simply beautiful.

  • I'm just getting into Jeff Buckley. And i'm loving him so far. I like the strong emotions he has. Like each song has an actual meaning. Unlike today's mainstream music. Jeff is something special. Refreshing, and new. Even though his music is some years old.

  • @BeatDemon08...if your only starting to get into him now, be prepared..if your in anyway like me..you will soon become addicted!...wish I could start over again so that everything was fresh and new :) goodluck!

  • @cirfia I agree so fucking much. It's fucked up. In the beginning i only liked a few of his songs; Grace and Eternal Life i think, now i love them all, and i cant take my ears of his songs. He has become a drug to me. I'm just afraid that in a year, when I've raped the album Grace, over and over, I will grow tired of his music. Which would be the biggest sin on earth....

  • @jnotheman Yeah, welcome to my life about two years ago, sadly thats exactly what happened me...listened and loved every song everyday for months and years on end, and now I find myself listening to his stuff very seldomly...but when I do, its always lovely to be back :)

  • In my 24yrs of living i never slow danced wth anyone... Now the man that iv known for 6yrs and dating for about a year share the same experience with me thanks to this song. I didnt realize how sentimental iv gotten but TY Jeff B. I appreciate this with all my heart. <3

  • i love this song and the voice too of jeff buckley..so cooool

  • This is actually breaking my heart into a messy bloody pulp. And I like it.

  • yes jeff is truely perfect - hes such a full heart- he is full of love and pain and music- what else is perfect in thät world- hes the best.

  • woah woah how on earth did this get dislikes??? i mean even if u dont know music very well how can this not slightly please you?

  • gooooooood

  • I can't see how people were able to cry to music before Jeff Buckley.

  • @BenJaminTunes jacques brel ?

  • Only love.

  • Say something about this cover, elton...

  • amazing

  • oh freaking jesus it's just not fair.

  • it is hard to cover Elton. Jeff did a beautiful job, as usual...

  • I hope that it will happen

  • Siento que cantaba con la garganta... no había mucha técnica pero sí entrega en su voz

  • all artists have fan followings but the impact the feel of his voice is unmatched

  • oh jeff:`(

  • All my suggestions are purple =))

  • love everlasting

  • this guy could cover lady gaga and still break your heart in tiny little pieces..

  • @WhatIsDeafIsDead76 ye know, I've thought about it......and yeah you're right, perfect comment!!

  • @WhatIsDeafIsDead76 You may have crossed a boundry

  • @WhatIsDeafIsDead76 Why would you compare elton to lady gagy.

  • @Mijicm Elton used to be one of the biggest stars during the 70's and 80's...a huge mainstream act that hijacked various of styles from glam rock to disco and use them in his spectacular live shows...I'm not judging him or gaga but they are in the same type of business...unlike Jeff

  • @WhatIsDeafIsDead76

Yet Bernie Taupin writes amazing songs. Elton John is a piano prodigy.

    Lady Gaga can't do either.

  • @WhatIsDeafIsDead76 LOL impossible, but thanks for the laugh.

  • This song reminds me of my X girlfriend. Still love it though.

  • 10 people never fell in love

  • ...looks like rain today.

  • Wonder what Elton thinks.

  • Tonight im going to take my life. Goof luck everyone and peace.

  • @TheSjpatrik good luck let me know how it is im right behind you

  • plz dont do that

  • @TheSjpatrik there is always a reason to live

  • @TheSjpatrik sorry, I meant to hit the down button, hope you were either joking or else managed to feel better!! please stay and treasure your life, bet Jeff would like to have had more time here!! and things do get better!! know that sounds empty if you do feel bad, but hope you re-considered, best wishes, if you need them

  • perfectness awesomeness

hope that james franco gets the role of jeff in the movie "greetings from tim buckley"

  • Hadnt heard of him until the other day on that new google music cloud app. WOW he was a talented singer. I wish I would have heard of him before!

  • Wow, I hadn't heard of this guy until the other day! I came upon him on that new google music app and I am really dissapointed that I just found him. Wow, he was really talented!

  • Please don't fuck up his Biopic!!!!

  • So sad, so beautiful. So much soul and blues in his voice ! Greatest artist ever. Peace!

  • wonderful

  • Damn it-I'm crying now

  • Why does his voice make EVERY song sound perfect when before they're just, well, average!

  • I just found him, but he was already gone....Jeff. May I find you again when we reach the stars. Until then, your music lives in my heart.....

  • Bad ass.... i woulda loved to be the engineer on this

  • If i had two minutes to live . Id put my Jeff Buckley album on..

  • 10 people have never fell in love...

  • C'est si beau...

  • His voice is magic. It's unbelievable to me that more people after hearing him for the first time aren't struck like a lightning bolt like I was.

  • Jeff Buckley is my religion.

  • angel :)

  • This charming man .. <3

  • voz de sonhos...

  • I still cannot believe even after listening to his voice for so long that any person's voice could be so perfect, so smooth, so warm and inviting. I just want to crawl inside it and snuggle up so safe and sound. It feels like home to me...and my heart breaks that I just cannot go home right now. Someday I will be able to...when I am old and my time has come...I will go home to that voice.

  • @s1ygirl that is one of the most beautiful things I have ever read

  • @s1ygirl ...you brote tears to my eyes with your words.beautiful.i can hear you..

    .

    .

i am so happy to know the gentle soles are out there <3

  • @s1ygirl too true, too true, and when that day comes, I'll meet you there!!! expect there'll be quite a crowd there though, cheers

  • @s1ygirl my heart breaks in two because i cant do exactly that his voice is like rain amazing and soothing when i die i can only hope heaven will be playing his music live every day

  • @s1ygirl you know how i feel... you totally do, isnt it just so..like... does he really have this effect on all people? he has occupied almost all my thoughts for ssuch a long time... i keep wondering how he could be so genius. mentally not just musically... like you know how in some interview he'll go off on tangents...he knows too much.

  • @s1ygirl

your amazing comment almost made me cry...thank you and fuck you :P

  • I heard this for the first time the other day, and thought, "thats Buckley".

Even after all these years, that voice crushes my heart. And your right about his covers, he was meant to bring the beauty out in all those songs.

    And he did.

  • Jeff Buckley is trulely an inspiration.

  • He is the Sade incarnate in man form. He is silk, his voice is sheer, it will wisp over you when you are not aware.

  • Ohh Jeff. I love you. Thanks for bringing me back to love. ♥

  • he had so much more to offer, a real shame. May you RIP , and why not sing with your father who's gone too soon aswell

  • Just beautiful....

  • just lovely!

  • it gives me the chills....My God , he was so unique. There so much passion and so many feelings in this man.R.I.P Jeff.....

  • i want to go for a swim with him.

  • Did sting sing this song also?

  • How can you dislike this song? If your not a fan then just simply leave..............

  • Lovely.

     - Thanks Jeff

  • I know i can speak for many many people here, those who see Jeff's genius. An artist who lives what he sings like jeff did takes me everytime. I'm trying to be just like him without thinking. To inspire people to cry because his work is so beautiful it leaves me speachless. Thankyou Jeff Buckley, thankyou.

  • And as for Tim...yeah, not sticking by Mary and Jeff was not good...immature, irresponsible, lots of bad things...but to equate that with not having talent? Dumb. Jeff was a little quicker out of the gate, but he took his time before recording, whereas Tim started recording earlier in his process. Both are great, no need to denigrate one for the other.

  • Wow...haven't heard this one before...a great cover and beautiful guitar.

  • what a beautiful song wow

  • Tim Buckley was a A-hole for abandoning Jeff and his mother. He got what he deserved in that his son has greatly surpassed him in fame. And no, Tim was not more talented--how can you compare apples and oranges?

  • His Dad was just as talented. If not more.Debatable i know. But who gives a shit. The pair of them will do me. : )

  • What guitar!What a voice!A singer!Jeez,Jeff,why so early...

  • do I hear the faintest sound of somebody taking a bong hit at :19?

  • @cbhitman1 haha just heard that you sir have some good ears lol

  • Jeff Buckley has such a beautiful soul

  • I can say nothing more than: WOW... he is really exceptional

  • excellent cover...make sure u have kleenex before listening...

  • I discover you through James Blunt as his influencer, no wonder ..what an influence to James blunt style of singing..I am glad I found you..I am your new fan now!!!

  • Can anyone name a singer/guitarist who was more gifted?? Not even considering songwriting...

  • @CattailsandRoses Nick Drake is definitely up there, but yeah, Jeff was a once-in-a-lifetime talent

  • Sometimes I wonder if every song ever written was meant to be covered at a later date by Jeff Buckley.

  • @cbhitman1 He was so wide-ranging in his selection--from torch songs by Nina Simone to classical songs like Corpus Christi Carol to prison blues like Parchman Farm to rock to folk to Pakistani songs--he loved it all. In one documentary he says that music grabbed him at an early age. He says that he got that from his mother and from his father. Though his father wasn't there, Tim's manager would send his albums to Mary and Jeff would have soaked that up-all he had of his dad was the music.

  • @cbhitman1 at least every good song

  • @cbhitman1 YES YES YES

  • @cbhitman1 shit I like your comment...I think I've always thought it but just never said it! At least we are all lucky as we still have many nice songs left... what about Calling you version?!? Aren't actually all his covers better (or at least deeper) than the original songs?

  • @Filosprint Yes I would agree with you, splendid...magic. It's true the saying his voice is as smooth as silk.

  • @cbhitman1 Actually there's this one song that - no, no I think you're right.

  • Check out 'Convalescence Kid: Nothing left to lose' This guy's pretty awesome!!

  • i agree with 24gagey its very sad that jeff buckley passed but the one thing he did was giving his blue print of his artistic emotion driven realism..i play him as much as possible to my friends and family.

  • the 6 people who dislkied this must hate remembering they were in love :p

  • God, forgive those six..

  • I'm glad you people are out there - I'm the only one I know who loves both Jeff and Tim. How can people not see they had the voices of angels? RIP Jeff and Tim - I can't pick a favorite, but Jeff had the most beautiful voice, Tim stretched our imaginations. Both gone too soon.

  • @Azulabel I agree --it's a kneejerk reaction to dislike Tim Buckley because he left Mary and Jeff without even considering his side of the story---maybe he knew he was messed up and would damage his wife and son by exposing them to his heroin use. Jeff said he did not hate his dad; he said he didn't have a chance to fall in love with him..I'm thinking of reading some of the books about Jeff and Tim and I bought one of Tim's albums. Tim was an extremely creative artist--he gave that to his son.

  • @CattailsandRoses If you would read the REAL non-papparazi stories about his death- you would know that his death was accidental....

  • agreed...that river has such a terrible undercurrent......people don't see the irony, how fitting in a tragic way..that he was found in the water, at the end of Beale St. ..beale street, where jazz and blues was born, where those same legends who buckley studied and looked up to, came from. something terribly tragic and haunting about it all..

  • @CattailsandRoses He didn't give anything to his son. Jeff would hate that, what you said.

  • @CarnivoreConfidence Except a hell of a vocal range

  • @Azulabel totally agree with you-you are not the only one who loves both tim and jeff--I love them so much that I want to share them with my friends who say they love music but seem to me to be a little narrow in their appreciation and I think it would hurt our friendship if they didn't love the music as much as I do; it would make me angry, I think

  • i love you, Jeff....

  • Jeff buckley And Tupac shakur rest in peace ...both theyre mothers are continuing theyre legacy :)

  • i miss you, i love you jeff ......

  • real talent and real emotion. RIP Jeff Buckley

  • actually look up 'in your atmosphere' instead..

  • considering he is still alive... yes please id like to fuck john mayonaise.. if only you heard any of john mayer Where the light is live in L.A and his blistering rendition of 'wait untill tommorow'.. open ya ears before you open ya mouth

  • Elton John is a class writer. And Jeff Buckley is just incredible; and it really is a telling hallmark of our society that Miley Cyrus is known the world over; and Jeff Buckley seems to be known only to a cult of ardent fans. Truly a betrayal of music.

  • @McRae2509 Jeff said himself that he didn't need to be remembered when he died. I think it is fitting that Jeff remains out of the mainstream because he admired the artists who were underground and different. Besides Jeff's fans will be loyal forever and Miley's will abandon her when she gets knocked up and shaves her head lol :) Needless to say Jeff is far more talented than little miss Cyrus anyway!! Jeff's music is timeless!!!

  • @McRae2509 dont be too sure

  • because your 9 year old son is suffering because your forced to live at home with your parent ;s like mary, cause the money has always been tight, right right thru ya whole life for reasons that were too tall for you, and its just like a scene from BLOW flashing back in your mind and ya husband wants ta make it right.. and you can sing and write you good looking, killer on the mike, mimic anything you like.. ready for the light..

  • when your whole life has been a dedication, when your mother played you tim in the cradle, and you mourneed jeff, and your having the all time preach/agruement/say about you life and your situation at your mother cussing n calling everyone on it, and you go to you tube, and a suggestion box is this song... and just when you think you have heard n seen everything.. jeff comes thru and brakes the arguement in two.. and during your rant you quote "fall into light fel ashamed for what you are.."

  • 171,000 views, 3 dislikes :) that says it all.

  • So beautiful..............

  • To get this mp3 click to audioripit doht cohm.

  • A very fine rendition of a timeless classic.

  • this song is very sad,

But somehow im feeling happy while listening to it :)

  • Elton's original on the Captain Fantastic album is well worth listening to.

  • Didn’t we? did we? should we? could we?

I’m not sure but sometimes we’re so blind

    Struggling through the day

When even your best friends say

    Don’t you find?

We all fall in love sometimes

  • I've been looking for this for a long time. Hearing a Jeff song for the first time, one that is new to my ears, can only happen so many times. I treasure each time because I know someday there will come the bottom of that well.

  • @s1ygirl I am just listening to this for the first time too! Thanks so much, tenreirinhaaa !

  • @s1ygirl so agree!

  • @s1ygirl If you ever find the Mahre Bukham cover of Roxanne (with or without video) let us all know, that is one difficult track to track down O_o.

  • For me Jeff is touching only he can do.

  • does anyone know how to get this version on itunes or anything?

  • kellar, perhaps you will never be into Jeff Buckley, and I accept that, but, maybe if, like myself, you could find yourself drawn to him after some exposure to his work, I don't know why he has that effect on some people, but I do know that I am not the only one! something about his voice and tone touches me deeply, connects somehow, I suppose he's a SLOW BURN, ye know, he burns deep, either way, PEACE

  • @hannah4440 Hi Hannah, I just read your comment. I dont think you meant to send it to me. I think you mean crazytrain73. What you said is how I feel, and very well said at that.

  • @kellar yeah, you're right, it was meant for crazytrain73, sorry about that, of course I agree with your previous comments too, cheers!!

  • makes me want give up music... RIP J

  • @pgsnz i heard jimi and thought as u do and it has taken me so long to come to a point where i ask myself ' is this what JIMI would have wanted..to UNINSPIRE... well fuck no man ya ok to me jimi ..best guitarist and Jeff best singer and so hallelujah sing and play and thats all

  • @baliscotsurf WTF? well then.. jimi + jeff = john mayer.. you listen to eternal life vs johns cover of wait untill tomorrow, n u do tha math.. hahaha.. sincerely i mean it.. ive always loved jeff n thas why im diggin on john right now..

  • @LoveforGia fuck john mayer
