yes hitler had his own "vision" where everyone that was handicapped mentally or physically (germans included) was inferior ("Untermensch", "defective citizens"); and they all were considered obstacles in creating the perfect aryan ( or "Übermensch").

targeted people for compulsory sterilization were those suffering from schizophrenia, manic depression, epileptics, blind, deaf, physically deformed, even alcoholics. what a horrible crime, horrible.

I read somewhere, at one time, that the majority of the deaf are born from hearing parents. I stayed with an older deaf couple that were children during WWII (escaping the forced sterilization imposed on the deaf/HoH as they were too young) and they had two adult hearing daughters.
