  • Ok, now I want to watch it in russian. It sounds amazing.

  • who doesn't love Dmitri?

  • Truly Russian!

  • This is why we, as Americans, always think it is snowing in Russia. Because in literally EVERY movie that is in Russia, it is snowing. XD

  • @kakashidemon321 In Russia there is not always snowing. Only 6 months of the year. So you are wrong only on 50% :)

  • @Multmaniac Haha! :)

  • @kakashidemon321 Just like in literally every movie that is in the Middle East, it is always hot and sand is everywhere and they all wear turbans, veils and have long beards. XD

  • And Dimitri is still sexier than ever!! Even in Russian!!! <333

  • This is awesome. I'm going to be learning Russian soon and I'm teaching myself the alphabet. This is great practice, reading all these comments!!! :)

  • The nan in the foreground at 0:55 looks a bit like putin.

  • This is when I wish I could speak russian...very cool language...

  • say what you want but the Polish version is the best!

  • I wonder what Russians thought of this movie. It did kind of screw around with their history.

  • @cmurphy2826 In Russia the cartoon was advertised as a fairy tale, instead of as a historical cartoon.

  • Comment removed

  • @cmurphy2826 We really like this cartoon.) Of course there are many mistakes and does not correspond to reality. For example, after 10 years show that the residents of St. Petersburg, read newspapers, but in fact is in Russia at that time it was forbidden to write. Many more such moments, but overall a great cartoon, I watched it a million times. I still look the same.

And nice that even though someone other than us Russians, interested in our history, the history of Russia.))

  • @cmurphy2826 Well, it's a cartoon, not a documentary. It's ok for it to be loosely based on Russian history rather than accurately.

  • Literally translated into Russian, the name of this song is "Слух в Санкт-Петербурге."

  • i know where to find it well probably xxCatwoman17xx u have to go to etvnet.com!!

  • Communism can't be too bad if everyone's allowed to dance in the streets like that.

  • Where are those subtitles? O_o

But anyway, I love it. Although original version is the best, I'm obsessed with Russian and adore this version, too. < 3

  • @mistressRider click CC on the bottom bar. :)

  • Russia has great voices and singers, indeed.

  • This is what motivated me in to learning Russian. No joke. However, I'm in the very beginning learning stages as I only started a few weeks ago. Hopefully I'll be sufficiently fluent in another year, with enough study. I plan to take my Senior trip to Russia.

Beauty and the Beast also pushed me to learn French. I'm, happily, fairly fluent. <33

  • @Malanrea And I'm guessing Aladdin prompted you to learn Arabic?

  • @ZillaRocks Nope. I didn't even watch Aladdin until middle school, actually. x) Although, Arabic DOES sound like a very beautiful language, I think I'll hold off on attempting any other language until I have French and Russian down.

  • Comment removed

  • @Malanrea Are you using Pimsleur? I am using it to learn Swahili...also took the first Russian lesson. A most useful course. "Ya ymnoga pwynamayu Proski" or something like that

  • In Soviet Russia, this is a normal day.

  • I love this song xP

  • Wow, these voices sound almost identical to those in the English version!

  • So this is what Dmitri sounds like in Russian? AWSOME!!!!! :DD

  • Hi elanor2006! I see you have answered my comment. Well, first i don't speak russian, I was just kidding. When Lenin orchestrated the October Revolution, I'm sure he did it with the best intention to help the working class, the results of the revolution are a different topic. Remember the USSR was born as a result to negate pure capitalism. (Great Depression of 1929 a perfect example of pure capitalism) I never mentioned Joseph Stalin on my comments, but is true Stalin was oppresive.

  • I love this! Between the video and the Russian voices, you can almost feel like you are actually IN St. Petersburg. Thanks for posting this. Russian is a beautiful language to hear, even without understanding it. Japanese is likely the most beautiful language I have heard, but Russian is not far behind. ;) I want to learn it, no matter how long it takes. :)

  • brilliant! <3 russian ^^

  • I've never seen something so authentic in my life.

  • doe you know a page where i can see this fiilm in russian

  • @XxSchokomonsterxX If you type in "Anastasia - Part 1 [RUSSIAN]" into the Youtube search box, you should find it. It should be right there. Tell me if you can't find it.

  • @XxSchokomonsterxX LittleLilly90 has the whole movie uploaded on her channel :)

  • @HHHPPP8 Translate please Comrade, I cannot read

  • @ZillaRocks

If you about that youtube blocks your clips because of copyrights to a sound track, Multmaniac advises to load clips with the image, displayed across mirror. In this form youtube's censorship doesn't distinguish them.

  • @Rouska95

    Sergei Veshchyov

  • @HHHPPP8 Oh thnx!! :)

  • St.Petersburg is beautiful place, i want to go there to visit my uncle in 1-2 years

  • I understand everything, they are saying thank God Lenin took care of those oppressive Romanovs, Death to Fascism, power to the people, WORKERS OF THE WORLD UNITE! The Soviet Union a country that looks after the interest of the WORKING CLASS. Long Live the RED ARMY made out of the bloodshed of the working class

  • @boston955 if you think that the Soviet Union, Lenin and Stalin weren't oppressive, then you're mistaken!!!

  • @elanor2006 I remember the memorial wall in the square in Kyiv when I was there in 2004. I remember the German bunker I was led through. I remember the translator telling me about how dozens of Jews were shot on the roadside after completing the bunker. The Germans did terrible things but so did the Soviets. Frankly, so did the Americans. All nations had unclean hands at the end of that war. It cannot be ignored. But I think the best question is how to bring about a better world in OUR time.

  • I understand "Babushka" "0:50" which mean grandmother and I even didn't know I knew this word! I think it might be because I saw this movie too many times...

  • LOVE Dimitri's voice!

  • wouldn't imagine watching it in any other language!

  • RUSSIAN VERSION! Pretty Good!

  • do you call Anastasia different in Russia?

  • @Ibib12 I think it's just a longer sound, so it becomes Anastazija

  • @nyafiya

    okay, thank you

  • @Ibib12 Yeah kinda, its pronunced Anna- sta- cee- a there's not 'stsha' sound at the end

  • @Ibib12 Yeah kinda, its pronunced Anna- sta- see- a there's not 'stsha' sound at the end

  • @tictac2tictac

okay, we germans proununce it Anna- sta-see-a, too, not with sha at the end, like the english or american

  • Anastasia full name.

    We call Nastya.

  • beautiful :)

  • does SOMEONE know what Dimitrys voice actor is?

  • @XxvallchenxX John Cusack

  • Ah! I am going to Russia this summer. The entire time I am in St. Petersburg, all I will be able to think of is this song, I bet you.

  • @CorporalHicks7

I'm studying it right now and I'm enjoying it immensely, it's so much fun! It's pretty tough to pronounce, but once you get used to that and the cyrillic alphabet, it's easier. Go for it!

  • Does anybody know where I can get the russian version on DVD????

  • @CorporalHicks7 Russian is an absolutely amazing language. I'm studying it at university at the moment and am loving every minute! But yes; it is very, very hard to learn. Don't let that stop you though!

  • Holy cow.

Sounds so much better in Russia...

Maybe because it's in Russia. :D

  • @xxCatwoman17xx you're right ... horrible version ...

  • @CorporalHicks7 Once you get the alphabet down, it isn't too hard to learn. In some ways its actually MORE simple than English. It's a gorgeous language.

  • @coconut994777 i have been learning the slavic alphabet and the hard thing for me is the hard sign and soft sign i dont get it hhaha

  • @lovemelots104 Aaahhh, miyakisnoc and tvordisnoc? Yeaa, I know what you mean, they're a bit confusing. Good thing they don't come up too often.

  • @coconut994777 they are! and yeah they only really are there sometimes

  • Any way to get the Russian Lyrics to this? I've looked all over... :C

  • @TheUtaLyrics They are there, just click the cc button in the video

  • Magnificent!

It sounds great in Russian. And Dmitri's VA is really good. ^_^

  • @siriusblack626 probably only in russia...
