  • Get lower, and dont jerk it over. Just lean and give it a good amount if throttle. I usually run about 7k on the tach while carving. If you are about to fall, bar it and it will come back.

  • funny stuff, but im no better.so dont feel bad. Keep practicing and you will figure it out.Its all about the fun.:p

  • pull her over slower, dont jerk it, and stay leaned over until its sideways and use the throttle to help. if you are carving left hander turn the skis right if you are about t o bury it and that'll help pull her up, (and in a right hander turn left) other than that you got it down pretty good. dont be afraid to fall off more either

  • Yeah the medium works well. With my gear, I have never been cold with the medium windshield, even on a day when wind chill was -20F, not including speed of the snowmobile, which probably would put it in the -40s F

  • hey how tall is your wind sheild please respond

  • @daleyracingteam It is a medium, which is 13 inches (33cm) I think?

  • @Trdpshr thanks a lot im looking for a windshield for my sled by i dont want it to big so that the handgaurds will hit it when i turn the handle bars

  • Just saw that. Nice. Interesting my brothers 800 revs way up then comes back down.

  • @shakyjake213 Hmmm strange. Maybe thats how the 800 needs to rev in order to warm up and run correctly while cold.

  • pretty sure the sled has nothing to do with it... it takes alot of time to learn how to carve and wip sno doughnuts... quit doggin on other ppl if u think u can rip then go ride with burandt and see what ur fuckin made of.... the 600 etec is a badass sled n deffinatly fun!!!!

  • All you 15 year olds, why don't you fucking shut up?

Give the guy some slack. It takes practice, and you really need to know how to lean and move. How are you liking the etec?

  • @shakyjake213 I'm loving the E-Tec, that thing goes. Good oil and mpg too. It pulls itself along no problems. I can't wait to get out this winter and get some decent carving video on here to show these noobs what happens when you practice!

  • @Trdpshr Awesome. I love the sound at idle. Did you buy yours new? If you don't mind doing a cold start video? My brothers 800 revs way up to 1600 rpm in breakin, will this change? Or does it just depend on temp? Does it rev higher on cold starts the colder it is outside?

  • @shakyjake213 Yeah, I bought it new. I like the idle sound too, sounds really fast doesn't :P. I definetly could do a cold start video possibly as early as tomorrow if you'd like. So your brother has the 800etec? Mine is the 600etec. As far as cold starting from what I remember, I think it idles right around the same whether its cold or warm start.... but don't take my word on that because I cannot remember lol. I will find out tomorrow or Monday for sure.

  • @Trdpshr Would be appreciated. My brothers seems to idle at around 1900 when cold, then going back to 1200 as the warm up mode slowly shuts off. How cold is it there? I wonder if maybe it's because it's still in break-in?

  • @shakyjake213 You can find the Video on my homepage if you haven't seen it yet. It stays right at 1200rpm cold or warm. It was in the low 20s in the start up video.

  • try and pull the way you wanna go and hit the gas and turn the oppisite way and do not be affraid of falling off. you gotta pull pretty hard. the more you do it the more it will come natural to ya. crap iam only 160 pounds and last year i was getting pretty good at it i could do it sitting down . watch some videos on here and watch there body language. trust me it will help. dont get down on what people say. half of them i would say dont even ride. so keep it up and you will get it.

  • why the fuck would u put this on youtube??

  • dude my 550 cougar carves better then a rev.... if u know how to carve with a rev its impossible to tip it but obviously you are restarted hahaha

  • @ordy101 No, you are "restarted" because you failed to notice this was my first or second time carving. Sorry it didn't go perfectly for me in these snow conditions and lack of experience.

  • @ordy101 obviously your retarded. there is only 1 T in retarded....dumb ass

  • @ordy101 since when is this a REV?

  • u guta jus throw ur weight n hold it there for as long as u can n try evn puttin one foot out n almost like walkin along wit it

  • First off your way to soft on the throttle and you don't commit your body to it, and where I'm from this is known as boondocking, I dunno diff place diff name I guess.

  • i have a artic cat 2010 550 snowpro and a tip about carving either gas it a little bit more and lean as hard as you can or put both feet on therightside and do what you are doing dont listen to the other people only if they know what their doing of ride with Ryan Britt And Jay Quinlan, I would know I live in Valdez, Ak

  • you don't need to have both feet on the same runningboard. I only use to do that while sidehilling and sometimes when I'm turning on a penny on a field.

  • bigger riser would help alot! buy a 6" or a 8" and it will be much easier to carve

  • heres a really big one...if your having a lot of trouble keeping ur machine over on its side and u find it wants to ride flat either get your sway bar taken off altogether or get sway bar disconnects makes life so much easier

  • just lean a little bit more and ass your leaning give it gas and pull, but other then taht your done pretty good, just pull and give it some gas and counter steer. looks good;)

  • Your doing fine. You don't have even close enough snow to do it . You need at least 3 feet or more or you just wont be able to cut.

  • you need to lean into it more and dont be so scared to touch the snow, its not going to hurt if you fall

  • you suck im better than you with my GLS 500

  • Thanks, this was my first time. Once I practice more I'll use my 1979 Yamaha Exciter 440 to show you up and say you suck on YouTube.

  • umm ur both fucking retarded... thoringe95 lets see something if ur gonna talk a big game. Trdphsr, u might not wanna talk smack w/ a 440 exciter unless ur makin a joke. but for tips, u have to committ more, u are bailing out too quickly once u start your carve, try and just keep your weight to one side a little longer, hope this helps

  • at about 1:09 you almost had it.just lean a bit more than that and nail the gas

  • All you do is find some untouched powder because if there is old hard tracks it sucks. Stand on either side of the sled. If your on the left side. Stand with your right foot and vise versa. Pull hard and push your foot down and lean while giving it more gas. Then just keep it tilted. If you tilt it too far you will het stuck or fall off or the sled will tip. Don't matter thought cause your in powder.

  • Here's what I have to say but it's just what I do, Don't really need to listen. I used to ride a mountain cat so they were heavier and all I would do it fling all my weight and bring the sled to its side and while I'm doing that I'd pucnh it and it would just swing around and do a perfect carve(donut).

  • lose the sway bar; you'll lose some trail performance but the gain you get in the powder overrides that. it will do better without the swaybar in carves wont push in corners.

  • srry dude no offense but im 14 n better.. but some hints wood b too turn the skis one way and then leen the opposite n while ur carving u can straightn them out.. also sit in the snow pretty much n it may feel lik ur guna tip but keep the sled goin at a descent speed and yu wont.. good luck!

  • when you flip like that be sure to shut off your engine, because it will flood, and because your oil will get all screwy and cease your engine, Ive done it but not with my etec

  • Not studded. Not hooking up the greatest because its all powder.

  • The 600E-Tec is quick! It's faster than the 600SDI and is only a few lengths slower than the 800R. I maxed it out at 110, maybe 111mph on hard packed snow with 2 inches of powder on top. It stayed at about 110-111 for 10seconds or so and I had to let out, didn't look like it was going to move anymore than that

  • It is a great sled, and that sucker pulls hard even after 70mph. I was going to create a video that was WOT from the beginning, but a lot of the snow melted & it rained and I was unable to make the video... The E-Tec is faster than the 600SDI

  • Several Dyno shops have ran these E-Tecs on the dyno. They consistently found 117hp. The thing with the E-Tec, is, no matter how warm or cold it is, the power is the same. With other engines you will find they run much better in colder weather.

  • put your but farther back and down and get as much wieght into it as you can for as long as possible.

  • Here is my 2 cents.

I guess my best tip is to counter stear (sorry for the bad spelling) when you com into your carve and burp the throttle and lean back into the way you wanted to carve.

Just remember to make sure your inside ski doesn't dip into the powder and get caught on anything, i try and point the inside ski slightly up wards to make sure it doesn't get caught.

    Good luck!

  • Yea I really do need to counter steer

  • you need a taller riser

  • i got a tip, CARVE!! you cant ride fer shit, you gotta crack da fucker wide open

  • put your toes on both of your feet on one side facing in towards the foot wall and lean and lot of gass

  • thats the easy.and it a good whay of lerning it.. but its not for riders whit experiense. from eglikarbananur.not this acount

  • leen more get closer to the ground and give it more gas

  • get the sled more over to the side and give some more gas!
