pdx was very impressive. my local gun store only carries the federal 410. Seeing this, I will definately mail order PDX instead for my single breechload .410 survival pistol.
Thanks Pop, It looks like the (Handgun) Federal Premium 000 buck was the most superior of them all. I have the Texas Defender and am very satisfied with it; I also removed the trigger guard which makes for a smoother trigger pull. Everyone should have one of these little cannons in their arsenal, my .02 worth!
@www7598wr2 there is a difference, the ammo marked as .410 handgun are 3 inch full shells usually buckshot or slugs for home defense.THE 2.5 inch game loads are not meant for the new .410 hanguns like taurus judge.
@devyn172 the 410 handgun ammo comes in 3 inch or 2 1/2, i know, i keep 2 1/2 000 buck 4 pellet in my 410. its marked, federal 410 handgun, 2.5 inch. the 3 inch shells are better, but 2.5 gets it done.
@CornBeefHashHunter sure it would kill a duck but when shooting waterfowl rather than game birds its required to use steelshot loads.expecially over water.ducks and geese can get shot with lead, fly off and die later rather than steel flys straight thru them. :) I dont recoment hunting waterfowl with a 410 either but its possible.
Pop to tell you the truth for 14 yrs ive living in hawaii (im originaly from the philippines) i havent seen or experince snow in my entire life they sure look very pretty....
Tnx for the reply pop...isnt it the same as the winchester PDX1 3plates above and pellets behind...anyways tnx again too bad i live in small hawaii county(kauai island) ammo here is very limited i reload all my ammo but i havent tried reloading shot shell..
Thx pop...now i know which ammo i should keep as a home defence for my snake slayer.i just baught win 000 3" #6 at kmart i wanna test it out this weekend.. So which of the anmo you tried the deadliest and accurate?
@pinoykillaz I liked the Winchester Supreme Elites. Has 3 nice size pellets and a bunch of BB's. This is the ammo I carry loaded in the gun for daily carry and I have a reload in my front pocket.
Nice test, and thanks for that, Pop. I was wondering which of the 000 buck shot loads were going to be more reliable, and from the looks of all the videos I've seen, I'm going to keep getting the Federal 000 buck that I've been getting, as it seems to create tighter groups in general.
Sweet vid!! I like them Winchester Supreme Elites.

The accuracy isn't too bad at all for a derringer. That can pack a formidable punch in such a small handgun.
