by the way he kexin only had 6.5 last year at chinese nationals and a full twisting yurchenko.she was able to add 1.2 difficulty in her Ub and a DTY on her v ault and possible an amanar. so i think semenova can upgrade her Ub routine. remember she is good in tkatchev release so she can add skiils from a takatchev(not sure if this isthe spelling of the move)mixing with diff entry like nistor does.

i would be very surprised if they chose he kexin to b on the olympic team. she is only good at one event and since only six girls can go...i think they wud rather have girls like cheng, jiang, pang pan, xioa sha, deng linlin, who are really good on several events. y else did they not choose her for the world team. she still had a 7.3 ish A score in 2007

I disagree. With He's new routine China has a better chance to win the UB than the team final. Plus, He's VT is pretty good, too, with A score of 5.8. My guess is that the chinese team will include: chen fei, jiang yuyuan, li shanshan, he kexin, yang yilin, and deng linlin. I don't think China can beat the US in the AA and Team, but they definitely have the upper hands on all 4 individual events... chen fei's Floor and VT; Li Shanshan's BB, and He Kexin's UB.

I agree with your prediction for the Chinese team in Beijing, but I think Xiao Sha will be in the team instead of Deng Linlin. I also feel China has a great chance of winning the team (they're difficulty is much higher than the US on bars and beam) and for all around, Jiang Yuyuan has immense difficulty on all four events (including VT if she can do the Yurechenko 2.5 twist).

He Kexin will most definitely be on the Beijing team because she can upgrade China's uneven bar performances and can possibly win gold in the individual event, none of which Yang Yilin or Jiang Yuyuan can do. Her vault isn't bad either, possibly even doing a Amanar. Also, Xiao Sha is only good on beam, her other events are pretty average. I also think He was too young for the 2007 team or something.

its impossible she was too young for the 2007 team but old enough for the olympic team, athletes are allowed to compete in the world championships preceding the olympics if they will be 16 in the year of the olympics.

It's way too early to call! Ksenia can connect the Deltchev to an immediate Pak salto. Her A score can be huge (higher than Nastia's), so if she cleans it up a bit, she can definitely win gold.

gymnast08ia, Ksenia theoretical A Score is 7,4, Nastia is 7,7. But they have to hit everything to reach that, and I believe that Ksenia is more consistent than Nastia. Ksenia had some mistakes on Euros EF but was capable to cover up everything, Nastia fell on her last competition and her dismount is still inconsistent. And Ksenia impruved her form since 2007, she can still impruve more.

wasnt ksenia's intended value a 7.2. and most of the time she does get devalued 2 tenths for that dismount. even at worlds wen the judges gave her credit for it, she didnt deserve it b/c she bent her knees a lot. i think now theyre being more stringent in devaluing it.

I know, but Russia's only gold medal expectations in women's gymnastics are on her, so I guess they have to train her very hard and raise her difficulty dramatically in order that she can win. Also, I just found out Yang Yilin's new difficulty is a 7.70.

I read it on the official website of Chinese gymnastics. I don't think there are any videos of her(do you mean Yang Yilin or Semenova?) new routine yet because she hasn't performed it at any competition.

If you mean Yang Yilin, she was going to perform her new routine at the Cottbus World Cup but was injured and withdrew. I'm disappointed. But both Ksenia and Yang Yilin are performing their new routines at the World Cup in Tianjin May 14-15.
