gravity is a force. things travel through gravity. the only way gravity can "travel" is if the object with gravitational pull moves from one place to another.

I think the scale is deceptive. I would also is expect the light in front to get brighter and to blue shift, and red shift and get dimmer to the rear.

Otherwise I think it is a good demonstration of how it would probably distort the pilot's veiw.

new experiments and observations in universities now a days suggest what newton and einstein said about the universe is all incorrect. Not even scientists know for sure about how the universe is, becuase it is so big and can have infinite solutions

Newton did superb as a pioneer. Most of Einstein (and his wife's) work has stood the test of time. No one has contradicted E=MC2. Einstein's work has been pretty much proven. The new theories I have heard don't contradict Einstein's work. There is a difference between exceeding the speed of light and taking a theoretical shortcut or using a warp.

If I understand correctly time for would stop for the object, that makes a paradox. Another paradox is in order to go the speed of light is that you have to consume all your mass, therefore you don't exist as mass anymore.  Therefore traveling faster than light shouldn't be possible. There might be short cuts though, possibly worm holes, possibly warps. However I am doubtful it would be practical.

The speed of darkness is theoretical 'fiction'. Theoretically if somehow you were magically able to go the speed of light, you couldn't see behind you, and everything in front of you would have an extremely serious blue shift. If I understand correctly time for would stop for the object, that makes a paradox.

Well it's not like the universe stretched out to the size it is now in less then a second. A second after the Big Bang, most of the matter in the universe was probably still very compressed, but with an extremely great velocity(not quite c). At least that's what I THINK!

I don't think it's possible to go faster than the speed of light, however theoretically it might be possible to take a shortcut or warp space.

MelaMan you misunderstand what Stephen Hawking and other scientists have said all the matter in the universe seems to have been made in an instant, that doesn't mean the universe was the size that it is today. So no matter did not exceed the speed of light. The universe is still expanding today. There is a debate whether it will crunch from gravity or continue to expand, most sciences today think the universe will fizzle; keep on expanding. Think ;)

when approaching the speed of light both time and space are distorted. In fact, when traveling at the speed of light (impossible) the travler sees nothing but a point that is infinately small. As you can see in this video, the travler observes not only what is in front of him but also what is behind him. In order to be even more accurate the sides of the image should be red and the center should be blue, showing the light shift caused by the doppler effect.
