I use the same box that you got your iPad in use it as a stand it's works and it's good and it won't scratch your iPad that's what I do maybe the Velcro will lose it's sticky ability and maybe the metal hanger could scratch the iPad but the box is safe

Meaning, if you wrap a pencil in Tin foil, you can have the same quality stylus as some hollowed out pen, some spare wires, and some conductive foam...
