  • big bad mad cat! awesome!

  • um how do u change the color of your hound cause i have alot of colors but i dont know how to change them

  • i miss Mechwarrior so much

  • its way cool

  • Ultimate bonus points for the Arkham Bridge mission song.

  • is that on x box ?? caus i have only pc

  • @Amurael27 - Xbox360. The other FROM games (the Armored Core series) are more like "Need For Speed: Gundam"... This game had a mech you design in order to fight a fictional war in the Middle East.

Unlike the AC games, it was slower, deliberate, strategic, and required teamwork in order to prevail on the field, while a good hand at using parts and managing the various aspects of the HOUNDs led to 1000's of different builds, including my Black Widow.

    R.I.P. CH... and long-live Morskoj!

  • @D2ARK Long live tarakia! If online wasnt dead id come over to your precious russia mockery of a country and give you what for D:<

    R.I.P. CH

  • @orkkilla5589 (in Russian accent) Bring it on, Tarakian dog! >:D

  • @D2ARK (In... no accent XD) I would, but again ONLINE IS GONE AAAAAAAAAAAH

  • @D2ARK The Kingdome of Sal Kar shall rise again!

  • Fuck yeah!

  • Lol at the Clan Wolf insigna on the back. Nice 'Mech.

  • This is one reason MekTek rules the mech genre.

  • Lol, the more i look at that Hound it looks more to me like a Warhawk minus its over head shield thing but w/ those dual cannons on each arm doesnt look Mad Cattish to me haha...still pretty awesome looking

  • it looks like a cross breed between a madcat and a vulture!

  • A quick note - there is no actual music in this game during missions and sorties. The music being played is one of the CD Audio tracks from the Mechwarrior 2 Titanium Trilogy game CDs that I own.

....YES, I wanted it to be THAT authentic!

  • a little obssesive but whatever floats your boat :D

  • This game is kinda cool, watched my friend play it, the onyl bad thing i the campigns are kinda short for each Class....and I found it rather sad the Defender had less armor then the Heavy gunner and sniper.

  • The thing about the campaigns is that they were only really designed to get you prepared for the online war. The mechs were more designed for a purpose or ideal than best function. Once you got into the online war, the training campaigns seemed like nothing, as did the "trainer" mechs.

Your friend could have built his own also by clicking on the "Borrowed Hound" option to change it, and then "Garage".

This hound you see was being used in the online war, which has a LOT more parts!

  • Ah Chromehounds... I miss this game... But i don't think i'll get it again considering the servers are going to be shut down... *sigh* I hope they make a sequel!

  • I doubt they will, as they are obviously more interested in keeping their old, moldy series Armored Core alive instead of CH.

I have found two (now single-player) games which could be considered substitutes until something else comes along for customizable mech battling:

Phantom Crash for the Xbox (very iffy on Xbox360 - lives up to the second half of its name...)

S.L.A.I. for PS2 - the sequel to Phantom Crash, this has much more choice and game extras, and can be found for $5 at Gamestop

  • On the SEGA forums, they hinted that there will be CH2 in 2011.

And as for those two games:

Never heard of Phantom Crash, and i still have an original Xbox, so that's ok.

And i played a demo of S.L.A.I. on an old disk i found that came out of a PS Magazine.

I always wanted S.L.A.I. so i think i'll look around for it and i'll look for Phantom Crash too

  • chromehounds is the best

  • The graphics in this game look pretty good... Im thinking of getting it... is there an in-cockpit view?

  • No, I wish there was. The closest you will get to a cockpit view is the weapon cam views, which you can see I use for precision targeting with the machine gun cluster. I also use them on the long-range weapons for zooming the view like binoculars.

I quite enjoy this game - my favorite X360 game out of all the ones I own. If you want to pick it up, you should be able to find it cheap... The servers are going to be shut down in January, so get it soon and enjoy it as much as you can!!

  • Why would anyone want to buy this crap?

  • Perhaps because there are actually people who play something other than games with names that include "Mario", "Sonic", "Halo", "Tekken", "Call of Duty", "Gears of War", or "Final Fantasy".

Perhaps because we enjoy creating our own massive custom battle machines and pitting our builds and skills against others, or maybe just horsing around...

Perhaps this idea of having to think about a game is too much for you and that's why you posted negatively...

Perhaps you're about to get banned, too...

  • Nope - there aren't any LRM-20's available in this game, nor could I piece together the proper parts to create a functional mech for this game....

I have made an almost perfectly accurate Madcat build (with 2 of the largest rocket pods), but it is too heavy to be usable, so instead, I made one that looks as close as possible without going overweight.

I might post the "proper" build sometime, though....

  • oh the Mad Cat, that brings memories back man, i tryed to do the same thing but since i dont have on-line parts, it was pretty a shitty hound lol, the only Mech i have that works (and looks like) is the "Thor" but its still weak lol, that was nice man, 5*

  • Read the description - this was made to be a Mechwarrior-style HOUND, therefore an open pit is essential to the overall aesthetics of the build.

See, in the old Mechwarrior games, it was impossible to one-shot a mech's cockpit, which meant you had to have some skill and perseverance in order to win, instead of needing to hide the cockpit because of cheap players.

  • you're a fucking idiot

you're still just as big of a nigger baby as you were those years ago

some people like something other than naqas and brookes and c110s, and some people build for nostalgia

    shut your face

  • Did I ever say there was wrong with running anything other than that? No, I did not. I'm just asking how it is cheap if someone shoots you in the pit and that he should learn how to dodge if he thinks it's cheap. Stop trying to put words in my mouth and assuming I'm insulting him. I don't find it cheap if I get hit in the pit, it's my fault if that happens.

  • you insulted him, dick lips. 'learn how to dodge' implies he doesn't know how to dodge

just go back to your naqas and STFU, pseudo-intellectual ass.

  • First - As you can see if you watch the video, even with taking damage in the cockpit, I still win, and that includes dodging the shotgun blasts. I have plenty of hidden pit builds - THIS ONE IS OPEN BECAUSE IT IS SUPPOSED TO LOOK LIKE A MADCAT!

Second - most of this flame war has been erased, and you're blocked.

Third - It IS cheap when anyone enters the battlefield and within a minute they are dead because someone has a 1.4Km range 5-banger sniper.

  • Why must people be idiots? READ THE FRICKEN' DESCRITPION! It's supposed to be exposed, it's an imitation of the Mechwarrior Madcat. Jesus christ.

Anyways, Nice job D2ARK, that madcat looks awesome.

  • this is jackMcNASTY9 THIS MECH HOUND IS COOL MOST BAD ASS THIG EVER) see you later man.

  • Damn! That´s a hughe amount of weapons!!
