OMG!! its SO weird hearing that someone doesnt know Billy Elliot!! i suppose ppl in america wouldnt know!! but i just watched Watermelon on tv and, O.M.G!! Jamie Daven is SO gorgeous!! he looks like a typical irish guy with the black hair and blue eyes!!! i bet his parents are irish or at least one of them is!! cuz thats the irish look!and if not then hes lucky i guess!lol. and i knew i recognised him!! did i mention hes gorgeous??lol.
I agree, he's a really talented actor (good looking to boot which is always a bonus). I've been watching the re-runs of Ultimate Force and the quality of his work on that show really elevates the material. He can subtly portray a range of emotions without over cooking it and his charisma on screen often steels the scene from more experienced actors. It's a shame he seems really under-used at the minute. I hope he get's a big break soon.
Those sad, soulful, world weary eyes reveal so much when he's on screen. Reminds me of Russel Crowe's ability to communicate his character's thoughts through his eyes. Big difference is, as you say, Jamie Draven is gorgeous!
