Thanks for the upload. I am a Turkish Cypriot design student, politically we have many handicaps going on, but I love Greek culture and aware of their importance for us, in today's world.
The installments are amazing, i wish they took place there more often and not only for the opening.
I hope the museum will be able to get the marbles back from Britain.
thank you for this upload. thanks to athina rachel tsaggari for her wonderful and deep..reflections!!!the museum is an experience...if you donot rush, if you be silent and listen it will speak to you...in a sacred and yet most familiar silence it will be revealed to you...if you open your heart to it...it is like an initiation....

Was in Athens just as museum was opening. Stumbled on this outdoor film show and were mesmerized along with others who stopped in their tracks to watch. Simplistic, tastefully executed in an incomparable setting, using nearby structures as screens, bringing Acropolis antiquities to life in a subtle yet innovative way. Appropriate in tone for this outstanding museum and its collection of worldly import. Hope other museums respectfully and rightfully return Greece's borrowed treasures to Athena.
Well, the worst fear of the British Museum became a reality. And we now, politely, ask for our marbles to be sent back to where they always belonged. I believe that the time u had to 'preserve' the 'elgin' marbles (which are actually called marbles of parthenon) has expired. It all begins now.
yes the word circus IS too strong, we have seen openigs "circus" in all over the world. they are not just lights, they are representing something...i couldn't imagine a better opening for the museum, and yes they should repeat it every once in a while...
These videos should be taking place at least once per week. Its such a shame if the greek ministry of culture dont take advantage of these great work.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
it's indeed something really wonderful, but don't you think the museum is going to be some sort of circus? i mean, the museum is there for the ancient findings, not for the lights... they could make a show once every month though, that would be great.
not true. i think these visuals are the cherry on top of the cake. i understand there are people who dont like cherries but you can always eat the rest. come on its so beautiful. a circus would be low quality or average graphics. i didnt like that word no offense
ok maybe the word "circus" is a bit too strong, but what i mean is that i what people to come to the museum for its architecture and for the ancient findings, and not for a lights show. however, i bet the government paid millions of euros for that show, so in my opinion every once in a while they should repeat it.

gives you the goosebumps. first time greeks decided to enrich their already fantastic history with something extremely beautiful, surreal. worths any cost of construction! congratulations! greece also has some thrilling new artist blood as a country and i am so glad that this stands as an example of how visual arts can change the world and make it better. thanks for these 8 minutes of touch i got this morning :) bless x

Stuffy Britts-minus the Scotts- eat your hearts out...
-throughout history you made and left a mess, with your colonizations and wars: including Iraq and diluting the European Union.
...never mind how your Queen Elizabeth treated Mary Queen of Scotts.
this Greek Museum is NOW a piece of art...Your entitlement to the Elgin Marbles is now superficial!!

Thanks for the upload. I am a Turkish Cypriot design student, politically we have many handicaps going on, but I love Greek culture and aware of their importance for us, in today's world.
The installments are amazing, i wish they took place there more often and not only for the opening.
I hope the museum will be able to get the marbles back from Britain.

thank you for this upload. thanks to athina rachel tsaggari for her wonderful and deep..reflections!!!the museum is an experience...if you donot rush, if you be silent and listen it will speak to you...in a sacred and yet most familiar silence it will be revealed to you...if you open your heart to it...it is like an initiation....
thank You All

GREECE SPIRIT TOUCHES PERFECTION! It is said that Art in Parthenon changed god to human and human to god!
The new museum itself and the individual statues with the broken pieces ask silently for the return! Humanity should also demand this right!
Shame of British governement to keep the marbles apart!

yes the word circus IS too strong, we have seen openigs "circus" in all over the world. they are not just lights, they are representing something...i couldn't imagine a better opening for the museum, and yes they should repeat it every once in a while...

it's indeed something really wonderful, but don't you think the museum is going to be some sort of circus? i mean, the museum is there for the ancient findings, not for the lights... they could make a show once every month though, that would be great.
Cuosht86 2 years ago
not true. i think these visuals are the cherry on top of the cake. i understand there are people who dont like cherries but you can always eat the rest. come on its so beautiful. a circus would be low quality or average graphics. i didnt like that word no offense
djhelenk 2 years ago 3
ok maybe the word "circus" is a bit too strong, but what i mean is that i what people to come to the museum for its architecture and for the ancient findings, and not for a lights show. however, i bet the government paid millions of euros for that show, so in my opinion every once in a while they should repeat it.
