A slattern of equal aspect has not, nor is likely to ever grace the stage. This frightful young woman yowls and screeches in a feral manner, the tenor of which reminds me of those wayward felines trapped and beaten nightly by my forthright and stalwart groundsman, James. I guess the fellings of regret and longing are not the same for me as they are for him. I begged for his attention as a child and searched for it in ways i'm still embarrased to admit to. Approval from boys and men has damaged me beyond repair. his indiffrence and cold shoulder made me seek affection in all the wrong places and I'm left to deal with my shattred soul, thanks to his neglect i can't forgive him for my pain, even now that he's old and reaching out.

Met mine 1 time.( Passed away in '98) Try to meet your Dad. Pops family never understood why I should care.They put up a block and forbid him to contact me. He had no guts and allowed them.Try and find your "Dad". Don't stop! You will then know whats up.Too late for me. Still am glad I knew him.
you should try to forgive your dad for not being there . and if you are a dad now or if you ever are. try to break that curse that follows alot of familys. don't go thru life dragging that ball and chain. forgive him and love the shit out of what little bit of memory you have of him. i think he needs your forgiveness.

We were a product of a really bad marriage and were treated like toxic waste. Now he's older and i'm grown he's looking at me like he has no one left what do I do with that

Yeah there is lots of resentment towards him for taking so long to finally take intrest in me and who I am. I guess he is seeing the end is comming he regrets the time he lost with me. I guess I'm lucky better late then never. This song just brings it all home to me.
