The way some churches are set up is that you have to go through the church secretary to make an appointment to sit with the Pastor & the 1st lady. So to the person that stated why didn't she call the 1st lady directly, well it doesn't work like that in all churches. I personally made an appointment to speak to the pastor & the 1st lady. I did sit with both people & to my surprise the pastor took flight from there & played on my emotions thereafter. This is real. Maybe I should write my story..
Shannon by you speaking out about what you went through is the way to go, because if you cover up this type of seduction, how are we as women educating other young women that are in the church, they will never know what to look out for if they don't know what to do when they are at a vulnerable state.
WOW this production is very powerful and anointed. I was touch by this specially has writer myself. Continue to allow God to use you for his glory Amen..
Alot of sisters are vulnerable but at the same time, they do not appreciate the lure that women have on men and men on women. Alot of the one on one interaction that women have with brothers gives rise to the devil........ Sisters have to look out for each other. Let me ask: Why did she call the pastor and not his wife? Why didn't she have another sister to call on? These things we must answer.
@blackhumanity103 i believe there was no wisdom between both of them. The woman had been in a divorce and is forced to live with her children without a husband. That toll would be very difficult on an emotional, physical, spiritual and psychological level. The pastor took advantage of her fragile status, using his power and prestige to lure her. In this case, the woman must think if she doesnt 'deliver' she would probably think that man would be angery at her.afraid of being alone again.
I understand she needed to tell her testimony but did she need to bring down the church too? because as far as im concerned the church didnt do nothing to her, dont blame the church blame the man!
@yungejay93 Right! how is this helping people? If anything thing it is giving world even more of a reason to turn there back on da church. I think this play is beneficial to those already in da church because it creates dialogue about real situations, but it would more of negative backlash than a positive one. The writing is pretty good also!
This message shall be shared and many will benefit. We all have to understand that there are wolves that pray on lambs, yet with faith and patience the light will shine the truth and the right way upon our path. God gives Strength, Amen.
That was so AWESOME Shannon ... I brought the book and can't wait to see the PLAY!!! Bring the PLAY to New Jersey Please ... I should have TRIED~OUT for a
to be honest the pastor is pretty good looking for this role. I was thinking of a Eddie Long or a Common type. a more of pimp than a bachelor looking type.lol.
