@Jinxxed0 Staff fighting as a powerset has been in development for a while. It was officially announced at the Player Summit in November, and I believe a video of the animations was leaked back in July. It'll probably be released to the live server in the next 2 months. So, yeah, they have been releasing other powersets before it, probably because they weren't finished with the work on a staff fighting set yet.
@weirddudeonice They don't really sound like that at all, not sure why they dubbed over them. However, the animations are (currently and hopefully not forever) horribly synched up with the sounds.
That said, it's still an awesome set and no it's NOT a mashup of Broadsword/Mace/Axe. None of those sets use the Momentum mechanic, nor do any of them get a cone power at Tier 1.

Sheesh, people, if you don't like the look, don't take the set. No need to whine about it. And no, it's not a re-hash of earlier weapon sets, as folks who have actually tried it would know. And guess what? Oversized weapons have been around a LOT longer than FF... but you children wouldn't have that perspective. And... last but not least, yes, their own promotional video for it IS boring... just like most of the others they've made in-house. You were expecting a sudden about-face, there?.. :p
Would be epic as well, IF they added a Scythe as a weapon look, that would make me really interested in that set, EITHER THAT or make a Scythe Set (highly dout might have to do with Titan) But have it as an unlockable one, ohhhh maybe that Rularuu Weapon.
@KeeThePuppy there's a scythe weapon customization included in the free (for 2 weeks only) custom titan weapon pack...though it is called 'demonic axe'
@spoptinator I haven't been able to play COH for a frickin year duo to money and computer issues v-v I get a computer now I got money issues and can't play or we have money cept me computer breaks down. I refuse to play for free because what am I going to do? Sit on my ass all day because they blocked everything I could do? Na
n-n Can't wait to get money to play again, sure as hell ain't gonna play F2P on my VIP account sure as hell dun got the money to buy Paragon Points to become a Prem member so not even gonna waste time sitting in Atlas doing nothing n-n So shall return to Freedom when ever I can. Mental-Teddy Bear
Yay, Asian RPG! Now let's put in some more wild west stuff, some ninja fighting pandas and orcs, light sabers but call them somethings else (oh, wait, already got that), some more ancient themed ruin story arcs with barbarians, perhaps a little bit of LEGO-like (with the LEGO MMO cancelled you might get official support cheap actually) and hey, let's cpy some Zerg powers whiel we're at it.

While I am loving the new offensive sets for Scrapper/Tanker/Brute (and sometimes stalker), where is the defensive love for the assault classes?
Also, maybe some nice, new secondary powers for blasters...
