hey i have to tell you THIS IS NOT A GOD DAMN HACK YOU DUMBASS!!!! YOU CAN DO THIS WITHOUT A FLASH DRIVE EXCEPT VIRTUAL MEMORY ONLY WORKS IN EMERGENCIES SO THE RAM WONT WORK UNLESS YOU NEED MORE MEMORY XP
oh and best to use a 4Gb flash drive for this for the most speed on your computer to if you all want to know.. and on windows 7 you can use 5 flash drives for ready boost to it is fast as hell but i didn't get to use my other to flash drive because i had no more open USB ports but ya ya its cool
HAHAHAHAA!You dumbasses are actually falling for this horseshit? Flash drives are flash memory. Ram is random access memory. These two diffent type of memory are incompatable. Flash is nonvolatile memory as opposed to ram (volatile memory). Take a Intro to computer class, you computer illiterate retards.
ReadyBoost is a component of Microsoft's Windows Vista operating system. It works by using flash memory, USB 2.0 drive, SD card, CompactFlash or any kind of portable flash mass storage system as a drive for disk cache. THAT'S THAT REALY HAPPENS :)
I know this! You still have made no increase in RAM by utilizing a flash drive. The reason for the faster performance by utilizing a Flash drive is called "Flash Ram" which is much more slower than actual RAM, and retains memory in a different way a DDR RAM stick would. The easiest way to disprove this method is by Utilizing flash Ram and checking your system RAM in "System", I assure you their will be no difference in RAM than before you utilized the Flash Drive.
i agree with onw thing that you say and that is that ther's no difference between the 2 situation with ir without the flash drive same amount of ram same diel :D
well what i read is a 32 bit operating system can only reconize 3gb of ram but i think it means internal not external memory. i have a 1gb and getting worlds smallest 8gb and looked around to see what i could do with my 1gb. and i found this and i think ill do this
I personally like XP better than vista, and there is a way to do this on XP. You just have to download some 3rd party software called: eBoostr. It's basically the same as Readyboost. Also, you might want to add some annotations or something about caching the drive. When I first used it, I had no idea that that amount of memory wouldn't be writable. If anyone wans to undo their changes, just tell them to re-format the drive using FAT or NTFS after backing up files
i kinda found a way to do it on xp without downloading any software, but all it doees is set "virtual memmory" to your flashdrive or sd card, its not the same as vista's readyboost but its pretty close.......just head over to my channel and watch the "how to use readyboost on xp" vid
please help when i close my computer and start it up again i cant log in to my user cuz it say that i have an invalid disc

can some one explain 2 me wat does ram does?
ViETxSOULJAx 2 years ago
ram is also called memory. Hard drive is diferent but ram/memory is used where everything runs off of. The more ram, the more speed.
lemonfilms214 2 years ago
Random Access Memory.
It stores memory temporarily and once you turn of your pc it forgets or erases all of that memory.

imagine the it as being a mucle in youre arm the mor you have the more you can lift
the whieghts being what your ram can run like games and programs along with a graphics card

Thats why he put quotation marks around RAM when he used it Because its not REALLY ram, but it acts in in same way, weather its flash memory or not!
