Watch some of the other demonstration videos if you think it's a 'fail'.

It may take 45min to reach vape-temp, but it can be left on 24/7/365 safely, with no harm done to the device; within reach it's ready to vape in seconds. Not something recommended with daBuddha (or any other vape, really). ;)

Either way...

The warm up does take 30-45 minutes.

The shortest amount of time you could leave it on? As long, or as short as you want.

After initial warm up, it can be instantly unplugged and stored, or left on as long as you'd like (even if not being used until the next day!). It's designed to left on, ready to rock whenever you are.

@LookAtMeeeeeee both. Vapes are kick ass but if you have high tolerance consider something that allows you to load more than a tiny bit. Silver surfer is kick ass for that reason, you can put heaps in it and totally blast yourself. Instant high.

I had tried a vape with limited success and not liked it.

It is impossible not to like this vape (or the ripoff marketed as Better Days)

BUT warmup time is so high because of the design and deliberate. It stays hot and uses a tiny trickle of current to remain in the perfect temp. Sucking harder does not cause any problem. IF anything it makes it even hotter by maybe 5 C

Personally I find myself grabbing mine a lot so why would I turn it off anyway :D Couldn't live without it and don't know how I smoked this long. Lungs feel better already.

Only ordered after hearing PD is a rework of Aromazap, & the inventor of PD hasn;t tried to stop imitators. (I work in the law- he could)

The improvement is addition of a screen on the top of the vape to prevent herbs falling through.

I'm still ordering the original as soon as I can.

I'd pick the Purple days. DBV are assembled in China, which, isn't to take away from their function, but I prefer American Made products generally.

34-45 minutes? thats a joke? da buddha vaporizer KILLS this thing.. heats up in 90 seconds, glass on glass connections and the ability to hook it up to a waterpipe... you got some decent hits and with a ceramic element i'm sure its tasty vapor but DAMN, da buddha is the same price or less..

Yeah it takes longer to heat up, but Da Buddha is rather different. The PD is better at conserving and Da Buddha gives richer vapor.

At present, I'm using the vaporgenie, which is awesome. I like to keep that thing loaded and ready to go, so even when I've got respectable company, I can walk out the room, vape a bowl, and be back in under a minute feeling nice and lifted.

Yes, it is certainly a 'desktop vape', or home vape. I own a Vaporgenie as well, and comparing the two isn't fair. The long heatup time may be seen as a drawback when looking at the small picture, but when you realize the unit can be left on 24/7/365 -- what is '30 to 45' minutes in the grand scheme of things?! ;)

I was just taking too big of hits. Check out a demonstration video I made to really show the power & efficiency of the Purple-Days. I've owned mine for months and I've never burnt any herb in it, it's just a not an issue.

Hey, I was wondering how the smell is with using this product. I've looked on the forum (haven't registered) and was considering getting one for a dorm-room setting. The Purple-Days operates at a relatively lower vaporizing tempature, so their is less smell involved. The more heat, the more smell -- as a general rule of thumb, most vaporizers leave less of a noticeable scent than smoking, but for someone familiar with the scent (or on patrol for it) might regonize it. Take caution, but 'openly disguising' it as an aromatherapy device is a great idea. :)

I used to turned wood all throughout high school and have 2 containers that are almost identical to those that you got. it is all about the consistent, but slow drawing technique... relax, take a deep slow breathe.

it has a lot to do with the lighting too. try vaping underneath a lamp ;)
