IF anybody has any questions about the red blob she ate at the beginning, that was the placenta and it is just instinct to eat it so that they don't lure predators near.

So precious! How many pups did she end up having?

I have 10 guinea pigs right now, and I've had 6 more over the past 5 years that have passed away, and only 2 of them came from the pet store, the rest were rescued or adopted. I've never attempted breeding cavies, and I don't think I would - I couldn't handle it if something happened.

I highly recommend adopting/rescuing guinea pigs to anyone watching; they are such sweet, loving animals and will bring you years of joy and companionship!

@VampressOfDarkness She had four, and we ended up adopting mom and the two female pups. The two little boars found good homes, too. :)
