Back in the early 70's i baught a bunch of 33 1/3 RPM records from my sister, Bobby's greatest hits was 1 of them, and i learned this song word for word, still know them, great song but sad
Out of all the music that I love, and even though I'm a heavy metal fan, this is my all time favorite song. I remember the first time I heard it... Ah, memories.
I first fell in love with this song back in 1968, when I was a high-school teenager. Its poignancy made me cry then, and still brings tears to my eyes. It is a classic song that never received its proper acclaim in the pop music repertoire.
It's amazing how this song by Vinton can add majesty to what has become trivialized by so many. Lovely

I have not heard this song in over 40 years! I was about 10 when it came out, and could never remember the name. Thank you so much for the upload.

Another song in a similar vein by Bobby Vinton is "Dick and Jane." Check it out on YouTube.
