  • seriously... sometimes I watch animes just because I know Kanno composed the soundtrack.

  • I really wish you could buy this on itunes. That being said it does save me a bit of money.

  • so beatiful!

  • finally XD i know the singer. known the song since forever and now i know it was by this lady! funny enough i know some of her other stuff but somehow i never made the connection XD

  • I thought Origa was the singer of this song. o_O

  • i played a j-rpg styled game named "Mondschein" this song was in the ending when i finished the game... really beautiful like the game i was playing! ^^

  • This is probably old news, but for those of you who don't know, the language in this song is invented, not real. It's called Old Fanelian [yes, the same Fanelia as the one in Escaflowne - Yoko Kanno composed the music in Escaflowne as well], and is probably a fusion of many European languages. Also, the singer is Gabriela Robin, who may or may not be Yoko Kanno. Yoko Kanno is definitely the composer, though ;3

  • @crystalsubaru123 i read an article from somewhere years ago that the idea developed from a conversation between Origa and Yoko Kanno. Yoko was impressed from Origa's hymn like sounds she produces spontaneously on a melody to fit on well. :)

  • i love her

  • As far as I know, Yoko Kanno does her songs in Ancient Romanian. And honestly, she is the most amazing singer I've heard in a long time.

  • @IStalkYourStalker You mean Origa right?... Yoko Kanno did not sing this...

  • @ChrisGhysel yes she did, this is the original song which was sang by Yoko Kanno under the name Gabriela Robin

  • @IStalkYourStalker

I don't mean to bash, but Yoko Kanno doesn't sing very often, she composes, I'm pretty sure the singer is Origa. Yoko Kanno just composed this.

  • @0Silviana0 you're wrong Yoko Kanno did sing this under the name of Gabriela Robin

  • @IStalkYourStalker yoko kanno did not sing this. she composed it. do some research

  • @Mystriousworldofjoe lol maybe you should read the other comments..

  • @IStalkYourStalker

Ancient Romanian would be very very similar to Latin, and the song does sound a bit Latin...

  • its from Turn A Gundam.

  • @solidus927 .....I have to find a place to watch this Gundam. So far I've only missed V and this. Can't believe this is from a Tomino series.

  • 泣けるね。切ない。

  • So good this song and ∀Gundam are.

  • ty Yoko

  • Yoko Kanno is the truth at what she dose.

  • yoko kanno's music= mega mindfuck, excuse me language.

  • This song is so good I can't put it into words just like Sora!!

  • Yoko Kanno does not sing in this song, the singer is Origa, a Russian women (that's why the lyrics are in Lithuanian ^^) which I luv very much, like Yoko Kanno *_*, Yoko Kanno make the music of this song. They've made a lot of songs together =)

  • @Mizukidu22 you don't have a clue mate...first the song is not from Origa..yeah she does sing it on concerts etc but the singer of the real version, which I believe is this one is Gabriela Robin , which is a pseudonym that Yoko Kanno uses when she performs vocals...which is already proven that is true. Second the language is not Lithuanian -_-' It can be 1) latin or 2) made up language which she loves to use

  • Yoko Kanno does not sing in this song, the singer is Origa, a Russian women (that's why the lyrics are in Lithuanian ^^) which I luv very much, like Yoko Kanno *_*, Yoko Kanno make the music of this song.

  • what anime/game is this song from?

  • @kawhite33 turn-a-gundam

  • wait im still confused is this german or japenese????

  • @1233rum Neither... it's a made up language known as Gablish, if I'm not mistaken... a lot of songs by Yoko are written in said language

  • @1233rum Neither it's a language she made up

  • @AnimeGirl45100 oo really? i didn't know thanks for clearing it up for me though :)

  • @1233rum Your welcome:)

  • this is beautiful :') -tear-

  • Wow , this is what you call "talent" to a fucking T .

  • The music at 2:07 sounds like a picollo to me.

  • @rutabagasteu I play the piccolo and I can accurately say that is not a piccolo. It's probably some artificial sound created by a keyboard, or a trumpet with a mute.

  • @animefuefuki Thats definitly not a trumpet with a mute

  • @animefuefuki It's a digital invention, it sounds more like a reed/pan flute but it is notoriously a sampler.

  • @animefuefuki Definitely not a trumpet with a mute. I think its a keyboard like you said. But I believe it simulates a native american instrument of some sorts. Atleast that's what pops up in my head when I hear it.

  • @animefuefuki Almost positive it's either a synth or a harmonica.

  • @animefuefuki thanks for the info. I hear music, but I'm not good at it.

  • @rutabagasteu at 2:07 its a pipe flute being played on a keyboard. The way the notes are separated is not the same as an actual person playing, it sounds like pressing keys on a keyboard. I hope my explanation makes sense lol I play flute and Piccolo.

  • @lilphee53 Yes, I understand.

  • I don't know why, but the synthetic sound at 2:06 kinda reminds me of Kitaro.

  • Beautiful... a true testament of a brilliant mind.

  • Nice Song And Picture

  • woah.

  • How can this song, make a grown man cry? Sobbbbbb. This song is damn good! How does Yoko Kanno, come up with this stuff?

  • Hey , does anybody know what is the name of the instrument on 2:07 ? Beautiful song :)

  • @93naca That's something I've always wondered too. It sounds kind of synthetic, like it was made on a computer, because there are a few places in the song that sounds artificial. It could be some weird foreign instrument or a really weird oboe....

  • @animefuefuki It's really lovely . When/If I find out I'll let you know :)

  • @animefuefuki

im not sure, but it could be a bagpipes. im guessing this because of the thematic.

  • @animefuefuki The backing sounds like synthesized strings, but the wind instrument sounds like an ocarina.

  • @animefuefuki Sounds like a harmonica

  • @93naca

i'm also wondering the same thing haha :)

  • @93naca i forgot the name but it's smth similar to an ocarina, but not the same (if i think of the right instrument)

  • @93naca I'm not sure but I think it's ocarnia

  • @93naca it's just a weird effect on the piano :3

  • @93naca I think its a reed pipe to be honest :P

  • @93naca It's a pan flute...

  • @93naca that is a synthetic version of a grass flute, I would bet my life on it

  • I tried watching Turn-A Gundam, but for whatever reason, I just could 't get into it. I do love this song, though. Really, anything that Yoko Kanno does is usually amazing. The work she did for Cowboy Bebop was beyond outstanding. Whenever she's involved, you can almost always bet that she'll deliver an awesome soundtrack.

  • Mermaid crap =/= Turn A

  • i love her songs XD

  • Thank you for uploading the beautiful song.

Could you please send me the MP3 for this? <3

  • is this song japanese? lol, just making sure, cuz it sounds frenchy somehow XD

  • @tsukiomilover it is not a real language. Yoko Kanno just made it up 'cuz it sounds cool :)

  • @animefuefuki It sounds latin-based, perhaps italian.

  • @animefuefuki omg i didnt know it was invented! ive been lisening to this song for a few years! ive been wanting to learn Japanese just to understand this song .. xD thanks alot for the info ... yoko kanno rocks best artist ever!

  • @animefuefuki it sounds alot like an ancient form of romanian

  • @animefuefuki I believe Yoko Kanno samples different languages I know i've heard Japanese, German, English and Latin from her before

  • @animefuefuki Ancient Romanian. At least Sora is in Ancient Romanian. I do not think any singers would honestly make up noises and sing them.

  • @IStalkYourStalker Yes they do, I know of quite a lot and they do amazing stuff :)

  • @IStalkYourStalker

Unless you're Yoko Kanno or Gackt.

  • @IStalkYourStalker Some singers do make up their own idiosyncratic languages to sing, Lisa Gerard is another one I know

  • @IStalkYourStalker Every language on earth is "made up".

  • @tsukiomilover its latin

  • @novodttocs thank goodness some one sed the truth here... and b4 u ppl talk bout kanno-senpai that way, please look on wikipedia

  • @Manganimeartist lolz i like it because its sung in a dead language lol....

  • @tsukiomilover as the language make's Enya :D

  • @tsukiomilover Its russian

  • @tsukiomilover

That's exactly what I was thinking. My first thought it that this song was in Japansese because Yoko Kanno is a Japanese name, and the first time I heard this song the title was in Japanese. But somehow...it sounds French o_O

  • dont understand a god dame word but the words still touch me. Such talent

  • This song is beautiful!

  • did this show up on any anime series?

  • Turn A gundam ending number 2

  • @CosmoSpiritVarie417 Yes, it was in Turn A Gundam =)

  • gabriella robin is yoko kanno's pseudonym

  • dang! this is amazing

  • who sang this song? is yoko kanno a singer or a producer?

  • Gabriella Robin sang this song. Yoko Kanno composed it.

  • Aren't Yoko Kanno and Gabriella Robin the same person? That's what I heard... Awesome music btw.

  • they are the same person^^

  • @animefuefuki Gabriela Robin IS Yoko Kanno. Yoko used the Name Gabriela Robin as a pseudonym to do vocal covers.

  • @animefuefuki

    Gabriela Robin IS Yoko Kanno.

  • @animefuefuki Gabriela Robin is Yoko Kanno. She recently sort of admitted it. :)

  • @animefuefuki Gabriella Robin is Yoko Kanno. :3

  • @animefuefuki Yoko is Gabriella

  • @animefuefuki they're the same person

  • @animefuefuki

Gabriella Robin is a stage name used by Yoko Kanno in some of her singing roles, but she wrote and sang this ( aswell as green bird and part of blue)

  • @DamianHobbes

Whoah, I DID NOT know that. ;D

  • Comment removed

  • whats the name of the song and thanks for uploading the song and pic!!!!! XD

  • The song is called Moon. ^^

  • very pretty song <3
