lol nah man... fwd motors got the distributor even the rwd n/a sr got distributor. my engine came outta a nissan avenir (JDM) which got the sr20det its almost equivalent to the GTiR 4 throttle engine.

@blackychan328 no power sliding is drifting.. using the 'power' of the drive wheels to 'slide' the car. you can e- brake corners with a FWD but its not power sliding. u can drift a bone stock civic if you use the e- brake. o_O

@TrionJuggernaut Your comment means nothing. A modded anything can beat a stock anything. If it was built to the limits of the motor, the SR would win. If built for maximum power on stock internals, the SR would win. If built NA, the VE would shit on 90% of Honda's out there. It really depends how the k20a was built. NA DE's have made it to the 200whp range, and the VE's far surpass that due to the VVL. Overall, 80+% of the time the SR is a far superior motor for performance.

@0ukami dude...wen it comes 2 fwd na engines....vtec owns all..the only sr i rate the most..is the sr16ve n1, which is the fastest 1600cc ever produce so far, with 200hp equivalent 2 a b18c (type r) and don't even compare a sr20ve with a k20a cuz the k20a will own it any day.and that's a fact. and complete embarrassment let go up against a mugen k20a..the only sr that cod beat it is sr20vet which is turbo charge..and the reason y most ppl prefer sr is because its much cheaper engine 2 build

People prefer sr20 because it's a far superior motor to both of those garbage honda motors. I'd like to see a k20 make 1200whp. Not gonna happen. @PzownedProductions when people swap LS motors into the lightweight chassis, it serves a purpose. Power + Throttle response = perfect combo for drift/racing applications. Swapping an SR20 into that model civic is NOT an upgrade. It's a great engine, but your trying to call that civic a better chassis? yea right... that model civic is NOT a better chassis than an S13,S14, or S15 which is what model the engine comes in.

@nycclaye And the only difference between the chassis in the S13's, 14's, and 15's vs. the civic chassis is the fact the Nissan chassis are made for a RWD layout, other than that, its not that big of a difference, after all they are both Japanise cars, so if anything, besides the nissans being RWD, they would have more simularities than differences.. just like with Chevy and Pontiac frames.. most of there models actually share the same frame..Ex. pontiac sunfire/chevy cavalier..firebird/camaro

IT'S POINTLESS for performance! All companies make good engines, and some make good chassis, but this is NOT an example of a swap for an upgrade. It's a swap for fun, because anyone who knows anything about motors, and tuning know that the SR20 doesn't go into a civic as a upgrade from the S13 model for any type of racing.

@nycclaye You can alwayz re-enforce the chassis, and Im pretty sure a EK1 or any 90's civic chassis can handle at least 380 HP with no problem..& if u have the right suspension & tire setup, it wont be a prob..I'm still trying to figure out why you would even make a senseless comment like that?? wow...& u call urself a "CAR" guy..Well real car guys know that chassis can be modified to handle whatever. So a SR20DET in a civic is hardly anything to fuss about, its not like its a 8.0 liter V10.

(200+ if its turbo Aspirated) A honda K20 motor has 200 hp and a 8,300 redline (more than a nissan) so thats an epic FAIL 4 u for thinkin this engine is too powerful for this chassis..

@nycc I've seen EK1's and EK9 civics boosted to 470 H.P. and hit corners like they where on rails..So if a chassis cant handle anything, it would be power, (any engine can have too much power) not because it has a 4 cylinder engine thats out of a different car that has around the same power and displacement (2.0 liters) is the engine the Civic came with. This EK1 comes with a 1.8 liter, and they can easy fit H22's under the hood 2.2 liters with no problem. this SR20DETT is (2.0 liters) U fail.
