Wow!! Very well done brother. This video was very polished. I loved the music. It was a perfect choice for a video like this. What a great trip that must have been.
@SnowLobo95 I got to see Sarah Jarosz perform recently & for me to say that she was great would be an understatement. Thanks buddy for dropping by & glad you enjoyed it.
Really neat that you have a good group of dudes to do that with. These days with everyone's schedules being so hard while people just try to make a living, it's not always easy. Thanks for sharing the beauty!
Wow, that was one of the most inspirational videos I have watched in a long time. I want to get out the the Appalachia area and that looks like one nice trip. Thanks that will help me "keep going" during my training walks. Absolutely beautiful. I watched it twice.
@usframe I knew you would like the footage of the Tulip Poplar. It was a highlight seeing a tree that old. It was straight all the way up to the top of the forest.
Nice! Really enjoyed this one. I love the way you put this together! Some neat little pieces and scenes of this and that. Worked really well. And that music was very nice I'm looking her up as we speak. Your very lucky to have a gang of guys to go out with like that. They probably keep you motivated and you have inspired me yet again to get out there!
@dmacken11 Having friends that enjoy getting out is a blessing, although it's tough lining up our schedules to make it happen. We have to plan way out in advance, but it's worth it.
It's been good introducing a few of ya'll to Sarah's music. She was new to me that long ago. Take care my friend.
How you managed to get such close up video of those three Big Foot is beyond me. I suppose the littlest one was the baby. But I'm still trying to figure out which of the other two was the female. Maybe they both were (?). I don't think they look like humans at all. And, I thought they were afraid of fires and that sort of thing. The smell must have been awful for you, they being notoriously stanky beasts and all.
;)
Merry Christmas, and peace on you & yours, my friend.
@CampfireTalk The Oaks are tough eh? I was just curious if this was current or a while back when you filmed :o) We stay pretty green as well with all the spruce and pine, but some areas are bald bald bald ;o) Cold is a relate term buddy. We all feel it :o)
@TheBeeperman Glad to be the one to introduce her to you. If you read her bio you'll see that she's young, but has played with some heavy hitters. Her record has been worth the buy for sure. Thanks bud
@Cr0cket20 I asked the ranger about it & he told me that some of those trees are at least 300 years old, could be more. It's a Tulip Poplar the TN state tree. I also saw some short needle pines that were probably as old. They were majestic.
I know those looked like mountains, but it's deceiving in the video. That area is actually one big gorge & what appears to be mountains are the rim of the gorge. It's amazing to see. At 0:20 in the video is the best vantage point of the gorge. Take care
@matt4270 Good tune, I bought the whole record. When I get to the end of it I start back at the beginning. Thanks for the comment, you have good taste in music brother.
Really enjoy seeing vantage points during a backpacking trip. Makes you feel "on top of the world" - which we all need to feel once in a while. Great shots! Thanks for bringing us along.
I greatly enjoyed this video. My boots are oiled and my pack is loaded. Only one week of work left before a week and a half off. I plan on hiking a trail that I've only half completed due to injury. This time I will reach my goal. I love looking over God's creation. Great song!
@mizooch70 Sounds like your're ready to roll. Shug told me once that sometimes planning for a trip is half the fun.
Good to hear you have a goal in mind. I know you'll give it your all & once you reach it soak it up brother. Gotta love the sweet reward of a goal met : )
Beautiful place and outing my friend. You look so different with a beard. It took me a second to recognize you. Good mountain man look, thanks for sharing...
Man that looks like an awesome trip. I love mountains and waterfalls. I hiked in the mountains around LA when I lived there for several years. I haven't been out east for hiking yet though. That one tree is probably older than every person on earth. Fantastic!
Great video :) Savage Gulf is so much fun to hike! I've only ever done it during the summer-we visited stone door, the works- but the best part was afterwards, cooling off at Greeter Falls!
@CampfireTalk Go to your local medical supply store and pick up a few plastic bedside urinals. They don't weigh anything and work great for those late night nature calls. And if you are brave enough, they double for scooping water out of a stream or river.
Another great adventure from you man. I'm jealous I wish I had some time to get out in the freezing cold weather and suffer some out in the woods lol. As always I enjoy watching your footage.
@TheSurvivalBookshelf Thanks brother as you know the biggest challenge of going on these trips is simply making the time : ) Well, until you go I hope this video will suffice. Take care

@Ggreenvideos Most of the leaves have fallen. Oaks will hold them for a while through winter, but it's mostly evergreen trees until springtime.
