In step 2.You went to Run > cmd > and then typed SHUTDOWN -A. Instead you can type SHUTDOWN -A in Start > Run...........There is a drawback in sending this as a individual file to your friends via email attachment or File transfer as the name of the file while transferring or downloading will be shown as Shutdown.exe....which looks suspicious even though you change the icon........The best option is to sent it in Zip folder or in compressed folder.

Yea, buTTT that's on XP, XP is a lot nicer than Vista and Mac when it comes to changing a PW with cmd, and I've fixed that problum w/ my computer. I wyped it and never told my parrents since they stay away from my labtop since I lock the Fxx out of all my jizz.

"shutdown -c" is for the comment

the only useful thing may be the pwd change, but thats not a trick at all, its a standard procedure described in ms knowledgebase articles...

i wouldnt even call those pranks... (ye maybe they work on some 12 yr olds..)
